Rhum getting his weekly health check.
Rhum lives with Iona and came in a big rescue we had of chinchillas.
He is at least 16 years old but is still a fit and happy wee man. All the chins get a fenugreek crunchie in the morning as a treat and he is usually sitting waiting for it at the bars.

Who’s interrupting my sleep!
Janet is 12 and very arthritic, but still a lovable character.
Pigs as so intelligent, they have the mental capacity of a 3 year old child. They may not be able to talk but can show so much with their eyes and expressions.

Emir is about 12 years old now and came to us 7 years ago as an emergency. His owner’s house and garden were so badly flooded they had to look for a new rental property and couldn’t take their birds with them.
He is inside at the moment while we do some maintenance on all of our bird runs. Some have been up for over 10 years and are needing fresh fencing and house repairs.

Baggins has been here for 3 years now, he was found wandering outside the small animal portacabins and never claimed.
We called him Baggins because he has big hairy feet like a hobbit.
He lives with Gideon, an elderly boy who is over 7.
Baggins was thin and scared when we caught him but has turned into the most friendly boy who loves everyone.

Ewen says this is his good side, he’s blind on the other side with a milky eye, we think he’s handsome however we look at him.
He’s an older gentleman, who suffered neglect before being rescued by his previous owners. They could no longer look after him and they asked us to help. He’s been here for a few years now and gets extra care as his teeth struggle to eat hay, he gets soaked sugar beet and chaff.
He lives with Frosty in a stable and goes out during the day with Frosty, Morag, Claudia and Mason.
