This beautiful gem of a dog Ruby came for a groom yesterday. ❤️
Her groom was a de-shed delight.

What exactly is a De-shed delight?

This groom is perfectly planned for long haired, double coated dogs like collie's, german shepherd's, golden retrievers, husky's and pomeranians.
I wash the coat first with a deep cleaning shampoo, after rinsing, a 2nd shampoo which helps loosen the dead and dying hair from the skin.
The dogs are then blasted with cool air at high speed to blow away some of the water, and at this point a lot of hair comes out too.
The salon often looks like the inside of a snow globe!
They are then dried with high speed warm air, a job which takes a long time for double coated dogs! Before their coat is brushed through with special combs which help release the loose hair free from the coat.
Once the brushing is complete (is it ever really complete?😆)
I complete the groom with a scissor trim to tidy their tail, underbelly, legs and ears, finishing off with pad and nail trim. Finally a nice smelling spray, and some nose and paw balm.

De-shed delight takes up to 2 hours to complete.
Pricing ranges from £48-£88.

Day two.

A lovely visit from wee shy and worried Nala, who needed to meet the groomer before coming for a groom.

Daniel the Spaniel knows me well though, so after a lovely walk getting a wet and muddy with his mum, me and Storm, he came in for a Ready to Vogue groom keeping him summer ready and smart.
