Peppy thinks he seeing double 😮
Bumble's first investigation of the track.

I have left the top strands across the entrance to her paddock so she can escape if she feels overwhelmed. I've been watching them most of the day and so far so good.

I will close her and Buzz back in the paddock overnight for the time being. Buzz is being a fabulous brother attentively watching over her. 💛🖤🩶

A little Murphy update. I got the opportunity to visit Murphy at L'Écrin de Vernoil near Saumur where he is interning for the summer. His education is progressing at a nice pace. He is quite a favourite at the Equestrian Centre because of his gentle and sensitive nature. He is however a quick learner and he is thriving with his new routine. 🖤🖤

Buzz has been waiting his whole life for a companion his own size. So when his lovely breeder Ann Nicholson agreed to sell me his sister I jumped at the chance. Bumble will take a little longer to phase onto the track. We are slowly introducing more hay into her daily forage to make sure her tummy transitions well into full time track life.

Progress report on the re-erection of the shelters. The Valisol Equestre slabs went down lovely. These are a recycled rubber product so they are a little pliable. No top dressing is necessary, these are non slip. I will be bedding these down once everything is finished. We need to stretch some more deltane between the front shelter hoops. The deltane will support the shade sails better so no sagging once finished.

Trigger warning - Loss of a pet.

Our little wiggle whippet Ziva, parsnip nose has gone!

The surgery proved to be too much for her heart. We don't know all the details yet.

This was incredibly sudden, last night.

She had been doing so well since the surgery but this was just too much for a dog that lived life at 40 miles per hour.

Your sister misses you. We are devastated 💔

Mountaineering pony! Bumble foraging on the mound in her little paddock. Peppy, Roxy and Buzz far too interested in what we are doing to seek shade. So what are we doing in the yard you may ask? We are laying the Valisol slabs in the re-erected shelters. Photo in the comments.

How can such an uninspiring photo bring me so much joy? Well let me tell you. In those yellow sacks are the long awaited sheep fleeces. 🐑🐑🐑 300kg of fleeces! These are going to be used to make a new sleep zone for the horses in addition to the straw bedded shelters and the sand pit/lunge ring.

I'll shall post more when we start the job.
