Los Infiernos Protectora Supporters LIPS is a group of volunteers who support the animals at the Anguimar pound in Los Infiernos, Murcia.

The primary aim is to arrange adoptions to appropriate homes both in and out of Spain. Los Infiernos Protectora Supporters (LIPS) is a volunteer group that supports the dogs at the pound run by Anguimar Servicios S.L. and Protectora de Caminando Con Ellos in Los Infiernos, Murcia (Spain). Our volunteers help with the day to day care of the animals, arrange foster homes, adoptions, and travel, hold fundraisers, help with veterinary care and costs, and also run this very social media page. 🐾❤️ NALA HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐾

It’s always wonderful when one of our dogs finds a loving home, but when a PPP dog gets that chance, it feels EXTRA special! 🥰

Especially when it’s a girl as easy, affectionate and lovely as Nala.

Sadly, PPP dogs often face an additional hurdle when it comes to finding homes and enjoying the simple things other dogs get to experience. But obtaining a PPP licence doesn’t have to be difficult, and our team is more than happy to help guide you through the process.

We want our PPP dogs to have EVERY opportunity, whether that’s through walking, fostering, transporting or, ultimately, adoption. ❤️

Please don’t let the licence put you off. Some areas make the process easier than others, but we’re here to help you give these wonderful dogs the same chances as everyone else.

👑❤️ EVERY KING NEEDS A QUEEN… AND A HOME ❤️👑

Maxine says he’s her King, and she’s his Queen. And honestly… sorry to her husband, but these photos look like a love story to us! 😜❤️

It’s easy to see why our wonderful volunteer is so smitten. Just look at that handsome face and those beautiful, soulful eyes. And the way he leans in for her cuddles? Enough to melt anyone’s heart. 🥹🐾

But King still needs a family of his own — people who will treat him like the king he is. A soft bed, daily cuddles, walks together and a place where he belongs. Someone who will make him feel this loved every single day. ❤️

He’s been waiting a long time. Far too long for a boy with so much love to give.

Come and meet this handsome charmer — he’ll be ready to welcome you with a hug, and you might just find yourself falling as hard as Maxine has. 🤗

🐾❤️ OTIS HAS BEEN ADOPTED! FROM TERRIFIED TO TWINKLE TOES! ❤️🐾

Oh Otis, what a journey you’ve had! And what an incredible transformation we’ve all been lucky enough to witness.

When Otis first arrived with his buddy Bruce, he was absolutely petrified. He would shake in the corner of his kennel, flinch at human touch and was simply too frightened to venture outside for a walk.

But our wonderful Trust Team saw the boy behind the fear. ❤️

Lisa spent months patiently sitting with him, building his confidence, little by little. With time, kindness and the continued dedication of the Trust Team, Otis began to blossom.

First came accepting a gentle stroke. Then came those tentative steps outside his kennel. And eventually, a completely different Otis emerged!

The boy who once couldn’t face leaving his kennel became one of the happiest characters on our walks. Dancing, prancing and bouncing around, trying to persuade just about every dog he met to have a game with him! 😂🐕

He’s made so many volunteers smile with his antics, and clearly his charm didn’t go unnoticed…

A lovely family spotted our special boy and fell for him too. OTIS HAS A HOME! 🏡❤️

We couldn’t be happier!

❤️ A HUGE thank you to Otis’s wonderful adopters for seeing just how special this boy is and giving him the loving home he deserves. And to Lisa, Michelle, our amazing Trust Team and every single volunteer who has helped Otis along the way – whether sitting patiently with him, earning his trust, encouraging those first steps or sharing in his joyful walks. You have all played a part in this incredible happy ending.

It really does take a village. And today, that village is celebrating OTIS! 🥰

We still have so many anxious, frightened dogs waiting for their chance. Some need patient Trust Team volunteers who can give them a little time, kindness and consistency. Others are waiting for that special adopter who can offer them a quiet, loving home and allow them to blossom at their own pace.

Could you be that person? You don’t need to be an expert. Sometimes simply showing up, sitting quietly and letting a frightened dog learn to trust you is the greatest gift you can give.

Otis is living proof of what patience and love can achieve. Sometimes the dog hiding at the back of the kennel is just a dancing, prancing, fun-loving boy waiting for someone to help him find his feet. ❤️

🖤🐾 BOYKA — ALMOST A YEAR WAITING FOR A LIFE BEYOND THE KENNEL

Boyka is a beautiful six-year-old German Shepherd who has spent almost a year at the shelter. The frustration is becoming increasingly visible. He needs room to move, things to learn, and someone who has time for him — along with plenty of care and love. ❤️

Surrounded by around 250 barking dogs, finding peace is difficult. Walks with our volunteers about four times a week offer a welcome break, but they cannot give him the daily exercise, mental stimulation and close companionship he needs.

We want to be honest about where Boyka is today. He reacts to dogs in the kennels, and outside he needs space from other dogs. On a recent walk, he largely ignored dogs nearby, including a female walking with him, but gave a warning grumble when they came too close. On other walks, he has struggled to settle and focus on his handler.

These observations matter. We cannot yet know how Boyka will behave after he has had time to decompress in a home, and we cannot promise that his reactions will disappear.

What we are looking for is a patient, experienced adopter who understands German Shepherds and can offer:

🐾 A quiet environment and time to settle, without pressure
🐾 Daily walks and opportunities to sniff and explore
🐾 Reward-based training and activities that engage his brain
🐾 Careful management around other dogs, respecting his need for distance
🐾 Consistent routines, companionship and kindness

Any home with existing dogs would need careful assessment and planned introductions.

Boyka deserves someone willing to get to know him at his own pace — someone who sees both his needs today and the possibility of a happier future. A comfortable bed, peaceful sleep, daily companionship and something to look forward to could mean so much to him. 🖤

Nearly 3 years old, gorgeous Xena is a girl who believes life should be full of FUN, FRIENDS and CUDDLES! 🥰

Cieza volunteer Patricia has been telling us all about this lovely girl, and she sounds like an absolute delight!

💛 Playful and enthusiastic – Xena loves having fun and making the most of every day.

🐕 Dog friendly – She gets along well with other dogs.

🐾 Lovely on the lead – She enjoys her walks and behaves nicely.

❤️ A proper cuddle monster – As much as she loves playing, she’s equally happy snuggling up for affection and attention.

Xena is classed as a PPP (Potentially Dangerous Dog) under Spanish legislation, but please don’t let that label put you off. It certainly doesn’t describe the happy, affectionate girl our fellow volunteers know and love! ❤️

At nearly 3, Xena has so much life, love and laughter ahead of her. All she’s missing is someone to share it with.

Same dog. Two very different pictures. Two very different worlds.

Runi is a wonderful, large, gentle boy and a firm favourite amongst our volunteers. He’s simply adorable. Lois absolutely adores him, and we think the feeling is mutual! ❤️

THIS is what being someone’s pet should feel like.

Loved. Safe. Relaxed. Wanted.

But here’s the heartbreaking part…

Runi gets to experience this just FOUR times a week, for around 15–20 minutes at a time.

Then it’s back behind those kennel bars.

We do everything we can to make our dogs’ lives a little brighter, but no amount of volunteering can replace having a family of their own.

💙 KUKI – THE NEW GUY IN TOWN 💙

I’m new here, but I don’t intend to stay long. Just look at me… stunning, right? 😉 Get in line and come meet me — I’m far too sweet and curious about life to spend it in a kennel!

My name is Kuki, and I’m an energetic boy with a nose that likes to investigate EVERYTHING. Every walk is an adventure! I can pull a little when there’s an exciting smell ahead, but when my walker stops, I can wait patiently too. 🐾

And cuddles? Oh, I LOVE them. Exploring is wonderful, but getting close to someone and soaking up their affection is pretty hard to beat. My volunteer said she fell completely in love with me on our very first walk. Can you blame her? 🥰

I recently walked with my kennel neighbour, Cosme, and even helped him feel more comfortable. The other dogs we passed didn’t seem to bother me either — I was busy enjoying our little adventure!

There’s a whole world out there I want to discover, with someone who will give me love, guidance and plenty of chances to use this busy nose of mine. Could that someone be you? 💙
