It’s not the bit you ride your horse in that counts, it’s how quiet the riders hands are!! Also how you keep your legs in the correct position so not to confuse or rush your horse on.

🐴 Yard Rules & etiquette

For the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our horses, riders, and guests.
1. Safety & Doors
Close all gates and stable doors behind you at all times.
Tie up safely using quick-release knots or safety loops—never directly to fixed rings.
Announce yourself ("Heads up!") when coming around blind corners or leading horses through doorways.
2. Cleanliness & Shared Spaces
Poo pick immediately in tie-up bays, wash areas, outdoor pathways, and arenas.
Sweep grooming areas clear of hair, dirt, and hoof pickings after each use.
Return all tack, equipment, and tools to their proper places right away.
Turn off taps and lights when finished.
3. Arena & Riding Etiquette
Pass left shoulder to left shoulder when meeting another rider.
Slower paces keep the track; faster paces take the inside line.
Call out your entry/exit before opening arena doors.
Yield to lessons and guided group sessions.
4. General Welfare & Respect
No feeding treats to horses other than your own without owner permission.
Keep dogs on leads and children supervised at all times.
Do not borrow tack, tools, or supplies without asking.
5. No gossiping or bullying!!!!!! No DRAMA!!!!!!!
