🌅🐾 Golden Paws – July Adventures | Drop-Off Day 🚐🇪🇸

Morning all! We were up bright and breezy just north of Burgos this morning, got the woofers out for their walks, everyone had breakfast, and then it was back on the road. ☕🐶

We've now made our way down past Salamanca and are heading towards our first drop-off in Seville to get Penny safely home. 🏡❤️

From there we'll continue down to Estepona for Bruno, before our final stop in Benalmádena to reunite Teddy with his family. 🐾

Everything is running right on schedule, so we'll keep everyone updated as we make our way through today's homecomings.

You've got to love drop-off day... it's always the best part of the journey, seeing our woofers back where they belong. 💛🐶

🌙🐾 Golden Paws – July Adventures | Evening Update 🚐🇫🇷➡️🇪🇸

As the sun went down, we stopped around 90km from the Spanish border to give the woofers their evening walk, dinner, and a chance to stretch their legs before the final push south. 🐶💛

We're now back on the road and should be crossing into Spain within the next 10 minutes or so. 🇫🇷➡️🇪🇸

Once we're over the border, we'll see how the evening goes. We may pull over for a short break and then continue later once the temperatures have dropped a little more. The good news is it's already down to 26°C, which makes travelling much more comfortable for our furry passengers. 🌙❄️

As always, the woofers come first, and in this summer heat we're happy to adjust our schedule to keep them as cool and comfortable as possible. ❤️🐾

We'll catch up with you all again once we're safely over the border and back in Spain.

☀️🐾 Golden Paws – July Adventures | Lunchtime Update 🚐🇫🇷

We've just stopped for our lunchtime break between Tours and Poitiers, and it's certainly warming up... we're now sitting at around 35°C! 🌡️🥵

With temperatures like that, it's all about keeping the woofers comfortable. We've found a nice shady spot where everyone can get out for a good walk, stretch their legs, have a drink, and cool down before we continue. 🐶🌳💧

Everyone's doing brilliantly and is nice and settled on board. We're now back on the road making our way south towards Bordeaux, and we'll catch up with you again around tea time with another update from the road.

🚐🐾 Golden Paws – July Adventures | UK to Spain 🇬🇧➡️🇪🇸

Today's adventure started up in Abergele, where Bruno joined us for the journey south. 🐶💛

From there it was a long run down to London... and what a day on the roads! Lots of traffic and several accidents meant we had to come off the M1, cut cross-country to the M40, and work our way into London to collect Penny.

Then came the real challenge... it took an hour and a half to travel just eight miles across London to collect Teddy in London Docklands! That meant we hit the evening rush hour heading back out via the M25, but that's all part of life on the road. 🚐💨

We've now made it down to Lewes, just outside Newhaven, where the woofers have enjoyed a nice long walk by the river, a chance to stretch their legs before tonight's crossing. 🐶🌿

Next stop is the port to get checked in, ready for our 11pm ferry back to France. ⛴️🇬🇧➡️🇫🇷

We'll catch up with you all again once we're checked in and ready to board.

🏁🐾 Golden Paws – July Adventures | UK Drop-Off Day 🚐🇬🇧

What a day! It’s been a long one, but the best kind of day... seeing our woofers safely back home with their families. ❤️🐶

We started bright and early in Folkestone, before heading down to Bognor Regis to get Pixie home. 🏡

From there it was up to London for Bertie, then on to Stoke-on-Trent where Dilly was reunited with his family.

The adventure continued north to Harrogate to drop off Tess, before our final delivery of the day in Penrith, where Freddie was very happy to be back with Eric. 🐾💛

With all today's homecomings complete, we've made our way down into the beautiful Lake District for the evening. A hot shower, a good meal and a well-earned rest await us at the The Ullswater Inn before we start the next leg of our adventure. 🌄🍽️
