Things are getting very worrying here at Marra’s Legacy.., Well with all rescues and charities I think…
I appreciate with the cost of living being so high, financially people are struggling and we can really notice this within our charity.
We used to receive much more support, maybe it’s because I don’t constantly post asking for donations, maybe then people presume we are doing ok financially, maybe we don’t have a big enough following or maybe it’s because adoptions have come to a virtual stand still and with no new dogs coming and going people loose interest 🤷🏻♀️.
I honestly don’t know what is causing the drastic change but we can’t continually support the rescue/charity out of our own income. This is having a huge impact as you can imagine on our personal finance’s 😔.
The idea was to grow Marra’s Legacy into a successful charity and rescue center for bull breed and PPP dogs, dogs that not so many rescues can take on.
We really try our best to help dogs that desperately need help, older dogs, disabled dogs, ex fighting dogs, horrifically abused dogs. We try our best to provide them with the closest to a home environment that we can. With tiny homes, little gardens and pools, AC, fans and heating in the winter etc.
This not only costs a lot of money to maintain it also involves a lot of physical work. We then have food bills, medication bills, supplements, and of course vet bills.
Then sadly on top of all this no one wants to adopt them 💔. We work sooooo hard socialising them, preparing them to go on to family homes but they get no interest 💔.
So not only so we have to financially support them all this makes less available space to help new dogs
We have an amazing support network when we have an emergency ❤️. For which we are so grateful ❤️❤️❤️. And also get some extra donations and money from our tins which is a HUGE help 🙏🏻.
But we only receive 130 euros a month from monthly donators and of course we receive no public funding etc.
We really need more regular help and support 🙏🏻.
We desperately need:
• Monthly sponsorships
• Help with fundraising 🙏🏻🙏🏻
• Regular donators
• Food donations or a food sponsor ( if anyone has any contacts)
• Medication, worming treatments etc
• Cleaning supplies
• And list could go on….
We also need help getting more visibility, so we can potentially receive more help and most importantly so our beautiful dogs get seen and adopted.
We really need things to improve in a big way as it just isn’t financially feasible or possible for us to be supporting the charity costs …
