A lot of UK dog owners are surprised by how we manage walks safely in Spain during temperatures that might feel “too hot” back home. The difference is in the climate, intensity of the sun, and how dogs adapt.

Heat safety will ALWAYS come first, however, we do not just look at the temperature number. We monitor:

✅ Ground temperature
✅ Humidity levels
✅ Shade availability
✅ Each dog’s breed, age & fitness
✅ Walk duration and intensity

Our walks are adapted daily to keep dogs safe, comfortable, hydrated and happy. Whether that means earlier starts, shaded routes, shorter walks, or (our personal favourite) water walks! 💦

28°C in Spain doesn’t automatically mean dogs can’t walk safely. It means walks need to be managed professionally and responsibly.

Just as we are, every dog is different. Whilst some are naturally confident and social, others need a little more time to settle, build trust and feel comfortable in a new environment.

We always start with an initial introduction solo walk with our furry team member, Bella, which allows us to:

✔️Start building a relationship with your dog
✔️Learn about their personality and behaviour
✔️Assess confidence levels around dogs, people, traffic and distractions
✔️Create a calm and positive first experience

Safety and the right energy is always our #1 priority, so allowing your dog feel safe before introducing them to group dynamics is a must! 🦮🐾

We have learnt through years of experience focusing on personalised care, calm and fulfilling walks, and solid relationships with our owners instead of chasing numbers.. We might not be the right fit for you either!

Every dog has their own personality, energy level, comfort zone and needs, and we take time to truly get to know them 🦮🐾

As the weather warms up, ticks and grass seeds become much more common on walks! 🪲

During walks, we stay alert for high-risk areas and do our best to avoid overgrown spots where possible, however, as we all know, the pups love to explore. After walks, it’s a great idea to give your pup a quick check, paying close attention to:

✔️ Paws & Between Toes
✔️ Ears
✔️ Armpits
✔️ Around The Collar
✔️ Tail

We also highly recommend regular grooming sessions with 🛁
