Hi GiGi family…..

I have decided to close my page for now as I am no longer grooming.

It’s been a fantastic eye opening journey. I have learnt so much from our furry friends and have made some lifelong human and furry friends along the way.

I will never forget the doggies I have had the pleasure of grooming they will always have a special place in my heart.

I will keep the page up as I still like to post safety posts and useful information for people to share now and then and also my late little bubba Dusty is the face of GiGi so its my tribute to him and I havent the heart to take it completely down yet!

So for now its big hugs, lots of love and kisses and see you later from me.

BE HEAT SAVVY!

Follow up-to-date info as our approach to heat related illness in dogs has changed…

We DO NOT COVER IN WET TOWELS

We DO USE COLD WATER

We DO USE ICY WATER FOR THE SEVERELY AFFECTED (collapsed, fitting, +/- bloody vomit/diarrhoea)

Cold water for the mild to moderately affected will not send them into shock. And for those severely affected, icy water will not shock them either as heatstroke is heat shock!

The old information is still doing the rounds, I have been updating any of my learning materials to ensure you are kept up dated ❤️

This is how a dog walker should be! Putting your furry friends welfare above everything! This is who I eould want to look after my doggos 🥰 Please friends do not walk your doggo in this heat….. If you love them so much would you want them to die of heatstroke? 💔

With the extreme humidity and temperatures we are experiencing, I’ve cancelled walks today.
As a small business, financially it has a detrimental effect but welfare of the dogs in my care take priority.

THIS!!! Matting is not just superficial knots that you can brush out. Its goes way deeper…. X

Matted fur it hurts right? Yep it does imagine your hair held tightly back for a period of time.

Yes these matts do so much damage beyond beauty. They restrict blood supply to the skin. That hurts and that means when they are removed a massive blood supply whooshes rushes to the area. Thank goodness that skin says, I have feeling. But on the ears especially you may get blood dripping from the ears. No one cut your dog, someone released your dogs discomfort
