You don’t need much more but imagination to get your dog working in fun, stimulating and creative ways. You’re not lacking “enrichment” toys. You might just need some imagination! I wanted to teach Rolfinzky how to go through the tunnel on cue and since I like to teach behaviours with “opposites” I also decided to name the touch pad, “pad”. By opposites I mean that if I send the dog AWAY I also want to work on the dog coming BACK in the same session. So here it is: go through the tunnel and get rewarded by a machine or me the come back to the pad and get rewarded there as well.

Maybe it feels pointless? Well, NOT FOR THE DOG.

…and not for me either!

1. Tunnel: confidence building, body awareness, directional awareness and more.

2. The pad: foundation for place training, heel work, body awareness (especially hind legs), send aways and mooore.

So! Time to go through all that all crap you have hidden away and make a fun little course for your dog!

Basic but life changing stuff.

Do it right and you get a well behaved, healthy dog with an off switch.

Skip it…

…and you might end up with the dog your friends beg you to not bring to their home.

…and you can no longer travel with your dog.

…and you can’t bring your dog to cafes, restaurants or whatever it might be.

…and every walk feels like a nightmare, a chore you wish you didn’t have to do.

So instead of having a large life, your dog stays at home. More and more. Because the problems outside are accumulating. The guilt, worrying and frustration keeps you from actually enjoying life together.

I see it every day. Unfulfilled dogs with 0 guidance ruining themselves and the lives of their families.

But it doesn’t have to be like that.

Stay ahead, stay proactive set yourself up for success.

Here’s my blind senior dog, my 12 week old puppy and our 3 year old dog chilling together. No leashes, no crates or treats. Just co-existing with clear boundaries set by us all together.

Rolf is now 12 weeks old and he has been with us for a whole month already. So, what “tricks” does he know? Basically nothing. No sit, down, heel etc…

But what does he KNOW?

- Other dogs can be fun and boring. In general safe
- People of all shapes and colours are kinda boring most of the time. Including the small weird ones called “kids”
- Friends and family are fun, playful and safe
- Traffic is just boring background noise
- It’s apparently ok to just lie down and chill when you are bored
- If scary stuff happens, there’s backup 💪
- Crates are safe
- Vets are fine

The list goes on…

Your puppy has a very special timeline, make you teach them about life and lifestyle instead of having them sitting in front of their food for way too much time.

Tag along on a Sunday walk day walk with the club!

This is a mess, and I like it. The camera was out and we danced for a bit. Gunnar is such a good little man that loves this type of stuff when the time is right.

Meet Daphne! A feisty power house trapped in a tiny fur covered body with not very friendly intentions. The first time I met her she tried to bite me and she 100% would have if given the chance. Her human- and dog reactivity was off the charts when I met her and her family but I can safely say that we are one damn good path!!!

We’ve started the individual sessions and Daphne is ready to graduate to the group activities very soon. The future looks bright! Not even halfway through the reactivity program and look at her now!

Whenever longer periods of time pass between sessions there’s a reason - the dogs are getting better and the families put in the work. This is Alfie.

This you man has a bite history, dog- and human directed aggression and reactivity in the past and you know what else he has? Dedicated people around him putting that do what has to be done.

When I first met him he would lunge and bark left and right and he was so tense that you could feel it, he was a pressure cooker with paws.

Today we checked in with his dog + dog skills, impulse control around skateboards and much more!
