Equistrain Internship or Work Exchange on Our Horse Farm at the Costa Brava

Do you love horses, nature, and the idea of experiencing Spain away from the typical tourist routes? Then our horse farm might be the perfect place for you!
From the 1th july we are looking for some help. For 1+month the longer the better

On our family-run horse farm on the beautiful Costa Brava, we offer the opportunity to stay with us through a work exchange program. In return for a few hours of daily help around the stables, horses, and farm, you will receive free living and food and lessons with our or youre horse.

Possible tasks include:

* Stable work and daily horse care
* General farm and property maintenance
* Assisting with the upkeep of facilities and equipment
* Depending on your experience, helping with training sessions or riding activities

We are looking for reliable, animal-loving people who enjoy practical work and are comfortable around horses.

In return, you can expect:

* A unique location close to both the sea and nature
* Plenty of time with our horses
* Insights into horse care, training, and management
* A friendly and welcoming atmosphere
* The opportunity to explore the Costa Brava during your free time
* You can take youre own horse with you.

Die Aktivitäten dauern je nach Wunsch zwischen 1 und 2.5 Stunden und können individuell angepasst werden.

Unser wunderschönes Gelände rund um den Puig Segalar und die Küstenregion der Costa Brava bietet dafür die perfekte Umgebung 🌿

Ein neuer Name für unseren Weg in Spanien – und gleichzeitig genau das, was unsere Arbeit schon immer ausgemacht hat:

🐴 Das Pferd im Mittelpunkt.

„Cavall al Centre“ bedeutet auf Katalanisch genau das – das Pferd im Zentrum.
Im Zentrum unseres Trainings, unserer Entscheidungen und unseres täglichen Umgangs.

Gleichzeitig steht der Name auch für etwas Tieferes:
für ein Pferd, das körperlich und mental in seine Mitte findet.
Für Balance, gesunde Bewegung, Stabilität und ein Training, das dem Pferd hilft, sich langfristig gesund tragen zu können.

Mit unserem Umzug nach Nordspanien und dem Aufbau unseres neuen Zuhauses im Empordà beginnt für uns ein neues Kapitel.
Der Fokus bleibt jedoch derselbe:

ruhige, individuelle und pferdegerechte Arbeit
Rehabilitation & Wiederaufbau
Reitunterricht ohne Leistungsdruck
Pension, Training und Betreuung mit Blick auf das einzelne Pferd

A new name for our journey in Spain – and at the same time a reflection of what our work has always been about:

🐴 The horse at the center.

“Cavall al Centre” means exactly that in Catalan – the horse in the center.
At the center of our training, our decisions, and our daily work with horses.

At the same time, the name also carries a deeper meaning:
a horse that finds its physical and mental balance.
Balance, healthy movement, stability, and training that helps horses carry themselves in a healthy and sustainable way.

With our move to Northern Spain and the beginning of our new home in the Empordà, a new chapter begins for us.
But our focus remains the same:

calm, individual and horse-centered work
rehabilitation & rebuilding
riding lessons without pressure
boarding, training and care tailored to each individual horse

Live-Online Unterricht
Individuelle Begleitung – ortsunabhängig und persönlich

Durch den Online Unterricht ermöglichen wir eine persönliche, individuelle Begleitung, unabhängig vom Standort - live, direkt und auf dein Pferd abgestimmt.

Da wir nicht vor Ort sind, lässt sich der Unterricht zeitlich flexibler gestalten. Gerade bei Rekonvaleszenz Pferden oder Pferde im Aufbau kann dies sehr hilfreich sein, da auch kurze, gezielte Einheiten von 15-20 Minuten sinnvoll genutzt werden können.

Der Unterricht richtet sich an alle, die ihr Pferd biomechanisch korrekt, gesund und nachhaltig ausbilden möchten – unabhängig von Reitweise, Ausbildungsstand oder Ziel.

Grundlage unserer Arbeit ist das Verständnis der natürlichen Bewegungsmechanik des Pferdes.
Im Fokus stehen Balance, Koordination und Tragfähigkeit, damit das Pferd selber lernt in seinen natürlichen und gesunden Bewegungsmustern zu laufen. Es soll lernen seinen Körper richtig einzusetzen und lernen sich selbst stabil zu tragen.
Durch gezielte, feine Hilfen wird das Pferd darin unterstützt, seinen Körper bewusster zu nutzen, kompensatorische Bewegungsmuster abzubauen und funktionelle Muskulatur aufzubauen.

Der Unterricht findet live statt. Dies ganz einfach per Videoanruf, Zoom oder was noch besser wäre, über den Pivo.

Oben: aktueller Stand
Unten: vor ca. 6 Monaten

In ruhigem Tempo und ohne kompensierendes Vorwärtsdrängen werden biomechanische Veränderungen wirklich sichtbar.

Im unteren Video sieht man den Ausgangszustand:
Kompensationsmuster, eingeschränkte Balance und muskuläre Ausweichstrategien, mit denen das Pferd versucht, funktionstüchtig zu bleiben. Das Pferd hat Spat /Arthrose und Strahlbein Befund, 17 Jahre alt.

Über Monate gezielter Bewegungstherapie konnte Schritt für Schritt:
– die muskuläre Zusammenarbeit verbessert
– kompensatorische Spannungen reduziert
– ein physiologischeres Bewegungsmuster aufgebaut werden.

Muskeln, die zuvor die Arbeit anderer übernehmen mussten, dürfen wieder loslassen - während unteraktive Strukturen lernen, ihre eigentliche Funktion erneut zu erfüllen.

Das obere Video zeigt keinen „fertigen Zustand“, sondern einen gesunden Entwicklungsprozess.
Genau dafür stehen wir: nachhaltige Bewegung statt schneller Effekte.
