Adopt Judy 🦛

Judy spent her entire life being used for breeding and arrived with us in a very poor condition. She was severely underweight, suffering from tick-borne diseases, and had a badly injured tail with exposed bone.

After weeks of veterinary care, medication, good food, and plenty of love, Judy has made an incredible recovery. Her tail healed without surgery, she's gained weight, regained her strength, and her wonderful personality has truly come to life.

Judy is an absolute sweetheart with people — affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. She loves human company and is always ready for attention and cuddles.

Due to travel restrictions affecting her breed, we are looking for a home for Judy within Egypt. Ideally, we're looking for a home with a couple or experienced owners, without small children, other dogs or cats, where she can be the centre of attention and enjoy the life she has always deserved.

If you think you could offer Judy her forever home, we'd love to hear from you. ❤️

And just like that, Tillie is going home. 💜

Six weeks ago, this little goofball arrived with a fractured ulna close to the elbow. A difficult fracture, but beautifully repaired and aligned, and all healed up.

Somewhere between recovery, bandage changes and forced rest, she completely stole our hearts. Always involved in everything, always making us laugh, always full of character.

We’re going to miss this lovely little dog a lot around here.

One more street dog patched back together. Stay safe, little Tillie. ✨

Right now, tensions between people and street dogs are rising everywhere — and honestly, we understand why.

People are frustrated about growing numbers, barking, packs forming, and dogs gathering around homes, hotels, beaches, and restaurants. At the same time, many people feed dogs out of kindness.

But feeding without sterilization is not solving the problem — it is feeding the cycle.

Where there is food, more dogs will come. More dogs means more puppies. More puppies means more suffering, illness, accidents, and conflict between humans and animals.

So yes — if a dog is starving, injured, sick, or truly in need, help them. Compassion matters. 🤍

But responsible feeding must go hand in hand with:
🐾 Sterilization
🐾 Vaccination
🐾 Population control
🐾 A long-term plan

The goal is not more dogs surviving on the street. The goal is fewer dogs suffering on the street.

It all started with Emma.
A tiny Rottweiler puppy, born in a backyard in Cairo during winter. She was the only one of her litter to survive the first week. .hassan_bakr advised that if she was to make it, she needed to be taken in and cared for properly — so Ellie brought her home and bottle-fed her.
Emma grew into a beautiful, strong dog and quickly became something very special to us.
Later, in Marsa Alam, she was accidentally poisoned — the target was the local baladi dogs. She didn’t survive, and we lost her far too soon.
With a lot of motivation from , we turned that loss into something meaningful. We started castrating and vaccinating local dogs and cats, doing what we could to improve their lives.
Seven years later, that work is still going — now in Hurghada, with more dogs at home and even more TNR in the community.
Emma was the beginning of it all.
Thank you, Emma.
Forever loved.

Lucy 💛

After a fractured back leg, followed by a leg and tail amputation, and months spent in a kennel… Lucy came to us for a couple of weeks to recover, rest, and just be again.

And now — she’s exactly where she belongs.

Lucy has moved into her forever home, back outside, running free, surrounded by puppies and horses 🐎

Watching her step back into the life she knew, on her own terms, is everything we could have hoped for — and more.

We couldn’t be happier for you, sweet girl. This is your new beginning ✨

Our current medical boarding crew is… a full-time job and a half 😅🐾

Oreo – decided a dog bite wound was a good idea. Now on antibiotics, tie-over bandage, and regular vet dates. 0/10, do not recommend.

Bindy – Nakari royalty 👑
Limping, some lumbar spine drama, and more tests (maybe even surgery). She’s not done with us yet and we’re not done with her 💛

Tilly – ulna fracture fixed last week and already doing her “look how well I’m healing” walk. Antibiotics on board and taking it (mostly) easy.

Caramella – same fracture, different attitude… healing is not her priority apparently 😅 We’ll reassess and hope she skips the sequel surgery 🤞

Judy – biggest glow-up award goes to this girl. Blood parasites gone, now onto weight gain, spay & vaccines.

Huge shoutout to Ark Clinic for always making space for our chaos and handling our complicated kiddos like pros 🙏🐶
