“Easy to manage” – Angler cows originate from northern Germany and are known for their robustness and functionality, with excellent grazing characteristics. The breed has a long history and was first mentioned around 1600. In 1879, systematic herd book breeding began, further consolidating the positive characteristics of the Angler breed: these are robust and functional cattle with good grazing ability, but they also cope well with other husbandry systems. Due to their high components, especially protein, their milk is in high demand for cheese production. The cows are medium-sized and have excellent conformation with typically dark hooves. Their mostly solid red coat makes them suitable for sunny and tropical regions. They are easy to manage, can adapt to all conditions, and are also suitable for crossbreeding.
