Shady Acres Mini-Shetlands

Today we went to a show in Sölvesborg Sweden.
Judges were Linnea Ornstein and Christina Vihrs.

We had a very succesful day!

Our yearling filly Shady Acres Joyful Jive, had her showing debut, and behaved really well, even if she was quite nervous in the ring. She scored her very first gold with 99787 = 40 points.

Our 3 year old Shady Acres Darling Daydream, missed the gold with 1 point, getting 39 points again.
No picture unfortunately.

I had also brought my lovely mare Little Mix v. Lovinkbos, who has had a break from showing, but came back as strong as ever, winning her class, and then going on to win Champion Mini Mare and finally all the way to win Best In Show with 99889 = 43 points

Her foal Shady Acres Monaco Mix, only 2 months old, also won his class and was later Champion Mini foal with 88788 = 39 points and a very promising description.
It was impossible to get a proper photo of him, when we got home today, but hopefully the show photographer got a better one 🙈

Best of all today, is that Little Mix is now ready to recieve her Super SUCH title!! 🎉

On sunday we went to a show at the beautiful Bosjökloster in Sweden.
We brought two of our 3 year old mares in hopes of gold for their diplomas.
Shady Acres Katniss secured her 2nd gold this year and is now ready for diploma.
Shady Acres Darling Daydream was shown for the first time since she was a foal, and was just 1 point shy of the gold. She will be shown again at a later date.
We also brought Shady Acres Baby Buttermilk, who secured her first gold towards her SUCH title.
Her foal Shady Acres Baby Bloom, got a very respectable 38 points and a really nice description, so we are hopeful she will continue to develop well

Crazy day at the annual danish mares assesment today!
Sorry, no proper pictures yet, because of the weather.

We brought 2 mares for assesment this year. Our 3 year old filly, Shady Acres Lullaby, by Waldo v.d. Litherweg and out of Let It Go of Duke Stable.
The other was Kaitlynn of Duke Stable, 10 year old brood mare. She is by Falcao of Duke Stable and out of Bavin of Duke Stable.

Lullaby was first out. Classwinner with 99888 = 42 points, 1. Class, Mini Res. Champion and Overall Res. Champion.

Then it was Kaitlynn's turn. Classwinner with 99988 = 43 points, 1. Class, Mini Champion and Overall Champion! 🎉🏆

Completely surreal, and hasn't really sunk in yet. Not likely to ever experience something like this again, but we are so happy.
Hopefully we will be able to take some pictures of both girls, when the weather gets better 🤞🌞
