Dear community!
This is Victor from CALC’s organiser team. I’m currently co-organizing an important event in Copenhagen that I’d love to share with all of you!

One of my dear friends is in need of support to fund his gender affirming surgery. To do so we are organizing a support party on the 3rd of October at Bolsjefabrikken in Copenhagen. It will be an evening filled with trans-joy, bands & djs, delicious vegan food and of course: my little pony! If you are around we’d love to see you there. Thank you for your support always!

A message from Yellow (founder and lead organizer):
Hi lovely community 💜
I’m really sorry to share that the Conference for Animal Liberation Copenhagen won’t take place this year. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I simply don’t have the capacity to organize it right now. CALC has always been a grassroots project through and through, and something I started without really knowing what I was doing, and while that’s something I’m proud of, it also means the foundation still needs strengthening.
All I wanted was to create a space in the animal liberation movement where true community, our fellow animals, and collective liberation are front and center, and with your help, we’ve been building exactly that. I’m so grateful for all of you.
At the same time, organizing an event rooted in basic values (like opposing genocide) makes funding harder, and the truth is, I spend 4–5 months each year working full-time on this. I can’t afford to do that unpaid this year. I’m also feeling some burnout from community work, especially in Denmark, where there’s disappointingly significant pushback against a collective liberation approach.
So, I’m taking this year to build a more stable and sustainable foundation. My hope is that we’ll be back in 2027 with an even stronger event, maybe even in a new location.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support. We truly have the coolest community 💜

CALC is not just a conference, it’s a community. And our community wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible volunteers who made CALC 2025 possible. From our amazing kitchen and bar teams to service and amenities, photographers, social media, and tech. We thank every single one of you - we truly couldn’t have done it without you! We listened to powerful talks and engaging workshops, marched for the animals, and ended the evening with a moving film screening and an open mic full of passion🎤🎶 Thank you all for joining!
