Want to beat the Seceda crowds? šŸ‘€ Grab the cable car up to Rasciesa and enjoy the Seceda views from a different angle! šŸ”ļø

Okay, it’s not quite the same, but we were literally the only people (aka person and a dog) up there šŸ˜ We took the first cable car up and it’s also about half the pricešŸ˜‰

We did an easy 5km loop walk, which was the perfect way to ease into our trip and enjoy the views without going too hard on day one. There are a few hiking trails up there, so you can easily spend a few hours exploring.

And of course, don’t forget your camera šŸ“ø There are plenty of spots to get that perfect Seceda backdrop photo! šŸ˜

Happy International Dog Day to all the goodest boys and girls out there🐾

A little throwback to Luna exploring the local dog beach in IshĆøj. Plenty of playing, running and, of course, sand everywhere. šŸŒŠšŸ•

The International Pet Photography Awards results are in! 🐾

This was my fourth year entering, and I honestly keep coming back because every photo receives thoughtful feedback. It’s such a valuable learning opportunity and a great way to track my progress over the years.

To be honest, I’ve felt like my photography has been standing still a little recently, so reaching a few personal milestones this year means a lot. It’s exactly the kind of encouragement I needed to keep pushing myself.

After sharing that my documentary images had made it to the finals, I’m happy to now be able to say that one of them was also selected in the Top 100 from more than 4,000 entries and received my very first Gold Award. With only 28 Gold Awards given across the entire competition, I’m incredibly grateful for the recognition.

This photo was taken in Bali while I was documenting the work of LITTLE STEPS MATTER šŸ“· It shows one of their team members taking the rescue dogs on their daily beach walk. Rescue work isn’t only about emergencies, it’s also about giving these dogs the simple joys they deserve while they wait for their forever homes.

A huge thank you to the judges for their feedback, and to everyone at Little Steps Matter for welcoming me and trusting me to document a small part of the incredible work they doā¤ļø

And of course, a huge congratulations to all the winners!

I honestly still can’t believe I’m writing this...

I’m incredibly grateful that my photos have been selected as finalist in the documentary category at International Pet Photography Awards ā¤ļø

These photographs were taken during a week I spent in Bali with the amazing Little Steps Matter. I had the privilege of following their team as they carried out street feedings, rescued animals in need, provided medical care, and cared for dogs waiting patiently for their forever homes.

These dogs stole a piece of my heart. Despite the abuse, abandonment, injury, and neglect that so many have experienced, they showed an extraordinary capacity for trust, resilience, and love.

This project was deeply personal to me. My goal was to raise awareness about Bali’s street dogs, challenge the stereotypes surrounding them, and tell the stories of both the animals and the people working tirelessly to give them a second chance.

To have this work recognised means more than I can put into words. Thank you to the judges for this incredible honour, and thank you to the entire team at LITTLE STEPS MATTER for trusting me to document your work and for everything you do for Bali’s animals.

I hope these images inspire more compassion, and encourage others to support the incredible work of organisations like LITTLE STEPS MATTER Every small act of kindness truly matters 🐾

From the photographer’s diary... ✨
These photos were taken almost two years ago, back when we were still living in Sydney. I’ve wanted to edit them ever since, but somehow life always got in the way.
I’m so happy I finally got the chance to revisit these images and relive those moments🧔 Rufus was such an incredible model, and working with him was an absolute joy.
Now that we’re in Denmark, I can’t wait to meet more amazing dogs and create more memories like these🐾
Which photo is your favorite: 1 or 2? šŸ‘‡

Proof that you don’t need a challenging hike to be rewarded with an amazing view in Norway šŸ‡³šŸ‡“ ✨
We set off at 6 a.m. to beat the heat, and it was the best decision… We had Bonhusvatnet completely to ourselvesšŸ˜ The walk is easy, mostly flat, and suitable for prams and all ages, making it one of the most accessible scenic hikes we’ve done. The view at the end is absolutely breathtaking, with the glacier reflecting in the turquoise lake. By the time we were heading back around 7:30 a.m., we started meeting other hikers 🐶 Just a little reminder: swimming isn’t allowed, as the lake is used as a local drinking water source šŸ’™
