do not let your dogs behavioral issues get in the way of the life you guys could be living together! yes, dog training is an investment but it’s one worth doing I can guarantee you

are you ready..

high-drive dogs don’t need admirers, they need competent handlers. if your training skills lag behind your dog’s intelligence and drive, you’re setting both of you up to struggle.

just because two neighborhood dogs are sweet doesn’t mean they should reproduce. preservation breeders test health and temperament to protect the breed, while casual breeding-even by nice people -is still backyard breeding. raising puppies before 8 weeks has endless pitfalls regular people know nothing about, meaning they can’t prep you for future issues. if professional trainers, like myself, admit breeding is a massive world to master, then Janette down the road with her doodle puppies certainly hasn’t. leave it to the professionals!🫡💗

life isn’t always comfortable, and obsessing over making every second positive can create fragile, anxious dogs. building resilience through meaningful structure matters far more than keeping everything constantly “fun”.

huge differences can exist within the same breed. if you want the “classic” family Golden Retriever, make sure you choose a well bred show line over working lines - unless you want to accidentally become a full-time dog trainer to keep up with that drive.🫪🧑🏼‍🩰

i keep this nifty little vacuum in the back of my van and each week take it in for a charge. clears up all the sand left in the crates from the dogs after a beach walk. and in turn, keeps my home clean too!

The same way you have a vet, it’s CHIC to have a dog trainer.

Even if no red flags have popped up yet, having a relationship with a reputable trainer always pays off. Whether you just brought home a puppy or adopted an adult dog-get a trainer before you actually “need” one.
