The Morph Journey💫 Wookie Gravel Desert Ghost Clown🧬
This week we’re featuring one of our 2024 holdback females, now a breeder: a Wookie Gravel Desert Ghost Clown. As a hatchling, she displayed incredible contrast, with deep black patterning against pale yellow tones and intense copper-orange blushings throughout the dorsal pattern. As she matured, those blacks softened into dark greys while the entire snake transformed into rich golden tones, especially across the head and Clown pattern. The blushings have remained just as strong, giving her a stunning look that continues to evolve with age. This girl is a perfect example of how beautifully these genes work together, creating an animal that only becomes more impressive as the years go by.

The Morph Journey💫 HRA GHI Black Axanthic 🧬
This week’s snake is a 2023 hatchling turned breeder female: a HRA GHI Black Axanthic. HRA and GHI work together to create the chaotic pattern and deep black tones, while Black Axanthic removes warm color and replaces it with cold greys and silvers that darken with age.
As a baby, her bright silver pattern popped hard against the jet black background. Now as an adult, the contrast has melted into deep smoky greys and dark browns while the overall body stays almost completely black.
A different kind of beauty with age: dark, clean, and powerful.

The Morph Journey💫 Super Gravel Orange Dream Enchi Clown🧬
This week we’re featuring this gorgeous 2024 Super Gravel Orange Dream Enchi Clown female. As a hatchling, she was bursting with color: rich yellows layered with vibrant orange and purple patterning, while the headstamp was sharply outlined in black. Orange Dream intensified the warm tones and brightness, Enchi cleaned up the pattern and boosted the saturation, and Clown stretched everything into that iconic flowing look. Super Gravel added extra boldness and unique pattern reduction.
As she matured, the transformation became incredible. The rich yellow coloration stayed strong, while the pattern almost melted into the background beneath new brown freckling. Her head lightened up as well, shifting into softer orange and brown tones. She’s grown fast thanks to being an amazing eater, and we’re excited to see the first clutch she produces this year!

The Morph Journey💫 Black Head Mojave Desert Ghost🧬
This week we’re featuring this beautiful 2021 Black Head Mojave Desert Ghost female. As a hatchling, she had incredible contrast with deep black tones, bright white alien heads high along the sides, and a fragmented pale yellow dorsal stripe. Her background faded cleanly from black along the dorsal into a white belly. Black Head boosted the dark contrast, Mojave simplified and lifted the alien heads higher toward the dorsal, and Desert Ghost enhanced the overall clarity and smooth fading.
As she matured, the transformation became dramatic. The deep blacks softened into rich browns, the pattern blended into softer greys, and the sharp black-to-white transition shifted into a smooth brown-to-beige fade from dorsal to belly. Lighter now, but still absolutely stunning.
