🇬🇧 Coat Care for the Tibetan Terrier – Technique Makes the Difference. 🐾❤️
A beautiful, well-maintained coat is not achieved by brushing harder, but through the right technique, patience and regular grooming.
We always work from the belly upwards, layer by layer towards the top of the head. The coat is brushed in small sections, following the direction of growth and using gentle pressure.
The key is to separate each section carefully and work all the way down to the skin. This helps remove loose hair from both the undercoat and the topcoat without unnecessary pulling or breakage.
Next, we check the result with a fine-toothed metal comb. It should glide through the coat without resistance. If we find a tangle, we work it out gently – never by force.
We then continue along the flanks and back towards the top of the head, carefully checking the legs, furnishings and tail as well.
❤️ Our essential grooming tips:
🐾 Work in small sections rather than brushing large areas at once
🐾 Groom layer by layer, right down to the skin
🐾 Use gentle pressure and never pull
🐾 Check the result with a metal comb
🐾 Keep the experience calm and positive
Ideally, the dog should be lying comfortably on its side. This allows us to groom thoroughly while keeping the experience relaxed for both dog and owner.
Because coat care is more than a necessary routine. It is quality time together, builds trust and strengthens the bond between dog and owner.
Don’t just brush quickly – groom correctly, layer by layer, with patience and care. ❤️
