This weeks camera roll…
We couldn’t be happier or more proud of the life we’re building here. 🤍

For the first time, we’re training a young mare that we bred and raised ourselves — and watching her learn, grow and trust us more every day is something really special.

I still have moments when I look around and can’t quite believe that we get to call this place home. And more than anything, I feel incredibly grateful that this is where I get to raise Emil — surrounded by animals, nature, freedom and all the little things that come with this life.

We’re nowhere near finished. There’s always another little project, something to change, improve or figure out. And I think that’s part of what makes it ours.

We’re slowly creating a life that feels right for us, for Emil and for our animals.

There’s still so much we want to do, but sometimes it’s worth looking around and realizing:

This is already pretty damn beautiful. 🤍

There is something incredibly special about the moment when the horses you have bred yourself are finally ready to begin their education. 🤍

Wieka was only the second foal ever born from our own breeding program, and her story has been anything but ordinary. Let’s just say: the fact that she is still with us today is nothing short of a miracle. Now she is three years old, happy, healthy and strong.

That makes it all the more emotional and meaningful for us to finally see her take these first steps into work.

And we couldn’t be prouder of the way she handled it. Wieka showed herself to be incredibly clear-minded, willing to learn and trusting. She faced every new task with so much courage and gave us her very best. 🖤

During our first weekend away from home together, we learned so much — not only about her, but also about ourselves. Once again, our horses have helped us step outside our comfort zone, grow, and achieve more than we thought we could.

A huge thank you to Friesenpferdezucht vom Seenland and Arik Longe for such an educational, inspiring and wonderfully social weekend. We are coming home with new experiences, new knowledge and many special memories.

So proud of our little miracle, Wieka. ✨
And very excited to see where this journey will take us.

POV: you come home after a full week in Berlin and somehow try to fit an entire week’s worth of life into one weekend. 😂❤️

My first week working in Berlin meant a first for us, too: Emil stayed home with Grandma & Grandpa while Mama was away. 🥹 And honestly? He did SO well. ❤️

So Friday was all about catching up on Emil cuddles… with a little “parenting session” for Wieka on the side, who apparently had very different ideas than my mum that morning. 😂🐴

Saturday was hay day. 🌾
Six. Hours. Of. Hay. With my family.
Including a very tired little co-driver who eventually fell asleep on Mama. 😂❤️
Pretty sure this picture sums up my life quite well at the moment.

Sunday came with all the emotions.

I finally got to pick up Trienki and Heidi from the clinic. ❤️‍🩹 Heidi is doing really well and came through her surgery beautifully, which I’m incredibly relieved about. And a little win I’m especially proud of: I managed to load both Trienki and Heidi all by myself. 🥹❤️ We’ve come a long way!

With Trienki, unfortunately, things aren’t looking quite as good. Her tendon issues are still causing problems and it looks like early retirement may now be the reality for her. 🥺💔 Not the outcome I had hoped for, but we’ll take things one day at a time.

Back home, it was time to prepare the stalls for the next weeks of box rest, with Rieka moving in as moral support. 🫶🏼🐴

And then? Pack my bags and head straight back to Berlin for onboarding week number two. 🫠

Work. Mama life. Horses. Hay. Vet clinics. Berlin. Repeat. 😂

I barely managed to post any Stories in between, so… maybe weekend recaps should become a thing? 👀

And now it’s Heidi’s turn. 🤍✨

Our little lady also received a Second Premium at the DFZ Foal Inspection at Celle State Stud—and she certainly made sure everyone remembered her. 😄

While the other foals focused on following their dams around the ring, Heidi had a slightly different idea. Instead of keeping up with our queen Trienke, she decided she’d much rather stay close to her human mom. Safe to say… she interpreted the inspection pattern in her own unique way. ❤️

Despite her creative performance, Heidi impressed the judges with her beautiful racial type and correct conformation. We couldn’t be prouder of this special filly and her confident, people-oriented character. Her quality also earned her a place in the Championship Ring, where she finished 4th among the fillies—a result we’re incredibly proud of. 🌟

Sometimes, it’s the ones who write their own rules that steal your heart. 🤍

From our first homebred c**t to his first time in the ring 🤍

Last Sunday, we attended the DFZ Foal Inspection at the beautiful Celle State Stud, and our very first “baby boy,” Gert van Stingray, had the honor of opening the day.

With his correct conformation, strong foundation, balanced type ans suppleness in his movement, Gert was awarded a Second Premium—a result we’re incredibly proud of 🌟

After the inspection, it was time to say goodbye as Gert left for his new owners. While it’s never easy to see them go, this is exactly what we breed for: giving these special foals the best possible future.

Gert has always been the sweetest, kindest boy, and he behaved impeccably throughout the entire weekend. We couldn’t be prouder of him ❤️

✨ Heidi & Emil ✨

Heidi van Stingray hat nun ihren zweiten Aufenthalt in der Pferdeklinik Berlin hinter sich – leider noch immer ohne klare Diagnose. 💔

Jetzt ist sie wieder zuhause, in ihrer gewohnten Umgebung, und bekommt vor allem eins: Zeit. Zeit, um anzukommen, zur Ruhe zu kommen und vielleicht auch ein mögliches Geburtstrauma zu verarbeiten.

Und trotz allem zeigt sie uns jeden Tag, wie viel Lebensfreude in ihr steckt – so verschmust, so liebevoll, einfach eine kleine Kämpferin. 🐴✨

Wir sind uns sicher: Heidi und Emil werden ein ganz besonderes Team. ❤️

✨ Willkommen, kleine Kämpferin - Heidi van Stingray ✨

In der Nacht von Freitag auf Samstag hat uns unsere Königin Trienke mit einem wunderhübschen, zarten Stutfohlen überrascht – genau so, wie wir es uns gewünscht hatten. 💛

Doch leider war der Start ins Leben nicht ganz einfach. Das Trinken wollte zunächst nicht klappen und die Kleine wirkte nicht richtig fit. Den Samstag über haben wir mit viel Geduld, Squeezen, intensiver Überwachung und Unterstützung beim Trinken alles gegeben, um sie zu stabilisieren.

Leider hielt dieser Zustand nicht an, sodass wir uns am Sonntag entschieden haben, die beiden in die Uniklinik Düppel nach Berlin zu fahren. Die Intensivmedizin dort hat uns bereits vor drei Jahren unsere Wieka gerettet – deshalb war für uns schnell klar: Das ist der richtige Ort.

Seit Sonntag wird unsere kleine Kämpferin nun intensiv betreut, mit Blutplasmatransfusionen, Infusionen und allem, was sie braucht.

Bitte drückt alle fest die Daumen für unsere Heidi van Stingray (Jehannes 484), dass sie bald gesund und munter zu uns nach Hause zurückkehren darf. 🍀✨
