It’s already been a week since Terraristika Hamm! 🦎
This year, my main focus was definitely on Egernia – so of course, I couldn’t resist bringing home these two beautiful Egernia epsisolus as well. 😍
One of them is already showing a beautiful, bright orange coloration, while the other is more reddish – but already absolutely huge for its age! 🔥
I’m really excited to see how these two develop over the coming months. 🦎❤️

Hamm ist nun schon eine Woche her! 🦎
Dieses Jahr lag mein Fokus ganz klar auf Egernia – daher durften natürlich auch diese beiden wunderschönen Egernia epsisolus mit nach Hause. 😍
Eines der Tiere zeigt bereits eine richtig leuchtende orange Färbung, während das andere eher rötlich ist – dafür aber für sein Alter schon unglaublich groß! 🔥
Ich bin gespannt, wie sich die beiden in den kommenden Monaten entwickeln werden. 🦎❤️

On Sunday I introduced my 1.1 Egernia hosmeri that I brought home from Terraristika Hamm. 🦎
But they weren’t the only hosmeri coming home with me! 😍
I also brought home two unsexed youngsters.
Both are already very active and curious, exploring their new terrarium and settling in really well. It’s always great to watch them discover their new surroundings. ❤️
I’m looking forward to seeing how these two develop! 🦎

Am Sonntag hatte ich bereits mein 1.1 Egernia hosmeri vorgestellt, die ich von der Terraristika Hamm mitgebracht habe. 🦎
Aber die beiden waren nicht die einzigen Hosmeri, die mit nach Hause durften! 😍
Zusätzlich habe ich noch zwei unbestimmte Jungtiere mitgebracht.
Auch diese beiden sind bereits sehr aktiv und neugierig und erkunden fleißig ihr neues Terrarium. Es macht einfach Spaß, ihnen dabei zuzusehen, wie sie ihre neue Umgebung entdecken. ❤️
Ich bin gespannt, wie sich die beiden entwickeln werden! 🦎

What a day! 😅
Terraristika Hamm is done for another time – after 14 hours on my feet, I’m finally back on the couch. 🥵
Even though these days are always long and exhausting, it was once again great to see so many friends and familiar faces and catch up with everyone. 🦎❤️

Die Terraristika Hamm ist mal wieder geschafft – nach 14 Stunden auf den Beinen bin ich jetzt endlich wieder auf der Couch. 🥵
Auch wenn die Tage immer lang und anstrengend sind, war es wieder schön, viele Freunde und Bekannte zu sehen und sich auszutauschen. 🦎❤️

🦎🥚 Exciting News!

Today was a day I will never forget!
Completely by surprise, I discovered my very first Lanthanotus borneensis eggs in the enclosure. I wasn't expecting this at all and actually thought I would have to wait until next year before seeing the first eggs from this pair.
That makes this moment even more special. Finding these eggs was already incredible, but knowing they arrived much earlier than expected makes the excitement twice as great!
Now the next chapter begins, and I will do everything I can to give these precious eggs the best possible conditions. Fingers crossed for a successful incubation and healthy hatchlings in some months.
Moments like these are exactly why working with and breeding these amazing animals is so rewarding.

Since March, we’ve had a pair of Egernia epsisolus here at TOK Reptiles. As the animals are still quite shy, I haven’t had the chance to take any good photos of them — until now.
A huge thank you to Chris from Knobtails for these absolutely beautiful animals.
