I think, there is a huge misconception out there, that a dog can only be fulfilled and 'free' when they are completely off-leash. It creates this huge pressure on dog owners to unclip the line as fast as possible!

But what if: total off-leash freedom isn't always an option?🤔
Whether you have a reactive dog who needs a safety net, a pup with a high prey drive, or you’re simply navigating strict local leash laws (like here in Berlin) - off-leash isn't always safe or possible...

Does that mean your dog is doomed to be unhappy? Absolutely not! 🦋🐶💜

A leash doesn’t have to be a prison. When you pair a line with the right technique, it becomes a bridge of communication, not a tool of restriction. Your dog can still sniff deeply, explore, and feel a deep sense of autonomy.
🐾It all comes down to HOW you handle the leash🐾

My favorite way to enrich the walk is finding natural "sniffing stations." You just need a few treats and a pile of logs!🦴🪵🪵🪵🦴

How to do it:
Say your verbal cue, like "Find it". Then, step back, let your dog have all the fun. Resist the urge to point or repeat the verbal cue too often - wait and trust your dog's nose🐽👃

What if your dog takes a break, walks away?:
That’s okay! Nose work is mentally tiring! Letting dogs choose to disengage and re-engage builds confidence and focus without the pressure❤️ It should be fun, not perfect🤩

I’ve seen it all as a dog trainer... but one pair of destroyed shoes are so last season!
The new trend in a pup's life? Custom-chewed blankets, remote controls, sunglasses and watches! 👓⌚🎮🪎

🐕But in all seriousness:
Items like remotes, glasses, wallets and your favorite blankets are "High Value" because:
1️⃣ They smell strongly of you
2️⃣ Chewing satisfies their primal needs

Puppies explore the world with their mouths, and they know exactly how to use their extraordinary sense of smell. They can be very cheeky and creative, so set your house up for success before you find your half-chewed wallet on the floor😱😮

🐕Puppy-proofing isn’t forever! It’s just environmental management. It’s way easier to prevent a dog from eating your watch now, than it is to train them to stop once they’ve discovered how fun it is to crunch.

So swap the remote control for a durable rubber toy and save your pup's health and your TV binge-watching!🍀

Turn every walk into a treasure hunt! 🐾

Hiding treats in unexpected places is a simple way to challenge your dog's mind and engage their amazing sense of smell🐽

You don't need fancy equipment to start - all it takes is a little bit of creativity!
Use logs, bricks, trees, benches, concrete platforms or anything else you find on your walks🤩💡

The best part? Your dog will love the challenge and it’s a perfect way to build a stronger bond and provide valuable enrichment!❤️

Today is a big day for me💓

It's been exactly 5 years since I officially received my permit to work as a dog trainer in Germany according to Paragraph 11.
But this story didn't start in a German office.. it started with a dream and a lot of hard work💪📚

When I moved to Berlin in 2016, I was already a dog trainer in Poland, but I was starting from scratch here. At the time, I only knew how to say "Guten Tag". I had to learn a new language, immerse myself in a different culture, and complete an intensive training course here in Berlin to expand the knowledge and experience I brought from home.

On March 12, 2021, after a successful interview at the Veterinäramt, I finally got the green light. I was so proud of the small business I built here in Berlin. It was my dream come true!🐶🥰

Then, life threw a curveball. A year ago, I was diagnosed with leukemia. My world paused, but my passion didn't...

Today, I am slowly finding my way back to the work I love.
I am taking it step-by-step, working online for now to respect my body’s limits, but being back with dogs gives me the "kick" I need to keep going every single day🦋🐾

This profession isn't just a job. It’s a part of who I am.
I am so happy that despite everything, the love for dog training is still in my heart, helping in my recovery🍀

2. Provide steady background noise 🔊

Simple as that: human is using a stationary bike, and a dog is using the white noise of the pedals to reach deep REM sleep 😀 🚴‍♀️💕🐶
