Boundaries, safety, and rules matter — but real training goes so much deeper than just asking our dogs to obey 24/7✨
Effective training is born out of trust, understanding, and meeting your dog’s biological and emotional needs🐶🩷

Dogs aren’t meant to only follow our commands all day.
They need space to:

🐾 Run wildly and let out their natural zoomies
🐾 Explore, sniff, and make their own choices
🐾 Express their authentic emotions and just be dogs

When we give our dogs the green light for unfiltered fun, and they feel genuinely fulfilled, understood, and satisfied, everything shifts. Training isn't a battle of wills anymore — it naturally flows!🍃🌊

When your dog's needs are met, they don't look for fulfillment elsewhere. They don’t just ignore the distractions around them because they have to — they actively choose to come back to you. They choose you over birds, smells, and triggers because you are their partner, their safe harbor, and the provider of their freedom🧑‍🩰🕊️

Clear boundaries protect them, but fulfillment, mutual trust, and giving them freedom to be themselves is what builds the true bond and makes them truly want to listen ❤️🥰

💬 Do you give your dog regular "decompression time" to just be wildly themselves? Share your thoughts 🙂👇

The photo I found on the shelter website led me straight to the dog who changed everything. After months of illness and living in an empty house, my husband and I finally adopted this beautiful little rascal🐾🐶

Bringing her home felt like a true rebirth. She was an absolute explosion of joy and crazy energy. Her wild spirit was a huge contrast to my slow recovery, but it was exactly what I needed. She brought life and laughter back into our home😊

The name we chose for her comes from the Spanish word fuerte, which means "strong" - but it was also a reminder of our trip to Fuerteventura before the day of my diagnosis. That island gave us lots of fun before everything fell apart, and choosing this name just felt like a perfect match. Fuerta brought that lost strength and light right back into our lives!🌞😍

Living with Fuerta reminded me how vital it is to set strong boundaries, protect my own comfort, and do things just for myself. She taught me that when things get damn hard, sometimes you just need to grab a favorite rubber toy, go wild, and play to shake off all the stress. Fuerta has her own issues, but they constantly inspire me to deepen my understanding of dogs❤️

So, what do you think about that saying—that we get not the dog we want, but the dog we need? I think it all depends on our perspective. If it makes our hearts feel just a little bit lighter in hard times, then let's embrace it. In the end, we always choose the interpretation that works for us.

Thank you for being here and following my story. My heart is wide open for the rest of this journey and for all the sensitive souls I get to support every day🐾🥰

Losing my beloved Jutra left a huge void. The grief felt physical, and just a few months later, my world stopped entirely when I was diagnosed with leukemia. As someone who values facts, I knew the biology - it was a simple genetic error. But emotionally, it felt as though my body had just run out of strength after so much mourning💔

The hard battle for my life - chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant - forced me to choose survival. But during the months of hospitalization and post-transplant quarantine, the hardest part was the silence. For the first time in years, I was completely without a dog...

I felt horribly lonely, like half of my heart had been ripped out. The longing for a dog was overwhelming. To get through the darkest days, I started imagining my next dog. I would picture what they would look like, how we would live, and that hope kept me going🐾🍀

Missing a dog was so painful that I sometimes thought: if I can't have a dog right now, I will just have to become one!🐶 I started copying doggy ways for survival - reminding myself to shake off the stress or imagining rolling in the grass. It was my way of keeping that dog energy alive inside me🦋

My health required me to change my lifestyle and I shifted my dog training work to online world. But my home was still empty. During my post-transplant quarantine, I started searching through shelter websites, looking for that missing piece of my life. And then, on a screen, I saw a photo of a dog whose eyes completely stole my heart!♥️

See you here tomorrow for the final part: The Story of Fuerta 🔥💃

My journey with Jutra began when she entered my life from a shelter, just as I left the corporate world to prepare for my first dog training course in Poland. Her deep sensitivity quickly became clear. She was reactive, easily triggered by sounds and anything new.

Looking at her felt like looking into a mirror; we both carried our own heavy pasts, we were going through massive life changes, and finding the world around us completely overwhelming.

Her name, Jutra, was a beautiful spin on the Polish word "jutro," which means tomorrow - and she truly became my hope for a better tomorrow✨♥️

Our unique connection moved with us to Berlin three years later. Together, we had to face a new reality, overcoming our own fears in a new country. Yet, despite those fears, I found the courage to take another dog training course to deepen my skills and understand her inner world even more🦋

Jutra taught me that training isn't just about mechanics - it’s a partnership where human and dog grow together. Because of her, I learned how to feel for my clients and understand their daily struggles, the hidden shame, and the heavy guilt - the exact same feelings I often carried myself🥺

I needed Jutra to heal a wounded part of myself, and she needed me to find my own stability so that she could lean on that new strength, allowing her to finally open up. She wasn't just a dog to me - she was my soulmate, connected to me by an invisible thread. She unlocked layers of patience and warmth that I didn't even know I had inside me. Jutra was my truest friend in my growth for 11 beautiful years until she passed away💔

🔥See you here tomorrow for the next part of my mini -series: Lost and Found 🥰

As a dog trainer, my work is firmly science-based, rooted in behavior ethology and learning theory. But science doesn't exist in a vacuum; I combine it with years of deep empirical experience. For me, the focus is always on where solid research meets the reality of daily practice.

And in this dog-centric practice, whether online or offline, I am constantly bombarded by this well-known phrase: "We don't get the dog we want, we get the dog we need."

As someone who explains behavior through facts, I always wondered where to even place a statement like that. To me, it always felt like a romanticized mental shortcut😜 Dog behavior and human-dog relationships are far too complex to be reduced to a single catchy line, so I’ve always treated it with a bit of skepticism and a raised eyebrow😉

Yet, observing this world for so long has taught me that shifting our perspective is sometimes exactly what we need to heal or simply connect the dots of our lives🦋

Lately, I’ve decided to look back at my own story with a bit of a wink. I allowed myself to temporarily step into that very concept and reflect on the dogs who have co-authored my life recently♥️

Choosing to look through that shortcut for a moment didn't change my professional approach. It just helped me close a heavy chapter, understand my own growth, and find pure relief. It allows me to pause, smile, and let things click😍

Today I’m opening a mini - series to share the stories of my two doggy girls - Jutra & Fuerta, who deeply impacted my life and opened up entirely new perspectives—stories grounded in behavior, but wrapped in a lot of heart♥️

Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow!🥰

🐾 A little update: Mysterious Dog training is currently staying 100% ONLINE 🐾

🌿When I was recovering from my bone marrow transplant, I hoped that by 2026 I’d be back to offering in-person training here in Berlin.

But life and health have their own timeline. Returning to home visits isn't as simple or safe as I anticipated and my sessions remain 100% ONLINE for now💻✨

🤗However, this shift has turned out to be a conscious choice and the best approach for my international clients looking for flexibility. Working through Google Meet allows me to help reactive, fearful, and sensitive dogs in their most comfortable environment—without the added stress of a stranger entering their space.

Currently, I focus on coaching guardians through complex issues such as:

🔹 Separation anxiety

🔹 Hyperactivity & excessive barking

🔹 Noise sensitivity

🔹 Medical training (cooperative care)

🔹 Rescue dogs - training

🔹 Dog body language & bite prevention

🔹 Reactivity towards people
..and many more!

🍓So, to all the expats and dog guardians around the world:
I am here, I am fully open for sessions and I am ready to help you become the best handler for your dog from the comfort of your home.

🗓️Availability for online consultations is open. Send me DM or check out my website - link in BIO! ↗️

I have always been amazed by a dog’s nose!♥️
The incredible way they can smell things and understand them, the way a dog "reads" the world with their wet, black truffle... It’s just amazing!🐽

When a dog moves their nose, opens their nostrils, or takes deep breaths of air - they are observing, learning, and exploring. They are connecting the dots. We look at the world with our eyes, but dogs see the world through their sense of smell👃

I am so fascinated by this awesome "tool" that I am almost sad I can’t experience it myself. To see the world through smells must be something incredibly beautiful!🥰

Lately, my friends and clients have been asking me: How does a dog's nose really work? How can they smell us from so far away, or know exactly what is happening around just by using their nose?

I couldn’t wait any longer! Swipe left to see the coolest facts about your dog's superpower. Enjoy! 😍

👩‍🏭These incredible abilities are backed by worldwide science - from Dr. Horowitz’s studies to advanced brain scans (fMRI) at Emory University
