I took this photo of Leon, soon 15 months old, early this morning in the soft, low light. His pupils were still wide as he watched a squirrel high up in the tree. He has grown to such a wonderful Maine C**n boy 🧡

His glowing orange fur stood out beautifully against the dark green bushes, still wet from last night’s rain. Although it reached 25°C again today, the first signs of autumn are already appearing—with mushrooms spreading through our garden. 🍄🧡🐾 Maine C**n Castle

Happy Sunday from the Living Wetlands 🌿

Louis Jr. was exploring the wetlands today when he stopped beside a yellow flower.

Through my 400 mm lens, the flowers blurred into a glowing golden circle behind him — almost like a full moon rising from the meadow. 🌕💛

Sometimes nature creates the perfect backdrop all by itself.

Finally, Leon takes the kayak! After walking all the way to the other side, it made perfect sense to take the short way home by kayak instead of walking the long way back.

He didn’t jump out on his own yet. First, he needs to learn the command and discover the best way to do it. But one step at a time—this was already a huge milestone for our brave little lion! 🦁🐾

Wild eyes, woodland colours. 🤎 In front of the old wooden stable, Louis Jr. blends in so perfectly that he almost disappears—only his gaze gives him away. 🐾Black-tabby is the master of camouflage in nature.
