Good news. In Funan County, Fuyang, the local urban management and agriculture and rural affairs bureaus shut down a den that had been stealing and selling cats for a long time, ending the evil practice of cat meat industry.

Since there was no shelter in the area, all 150 cats rescued earlier were released on the spot, but they would eventually be captured again by evil cat kidnappers. Local volunteers approached Ping An Afu for help. A week ago, we received 23 rescued cats, and two days ago, we welcomed another 27 furry friends, who arrived at the shelter at 3 pm.

Every day, new lives arrive, or we race against time to save their lives.

They are different species, but they were similar in the past: Abandoned, sold, and displaced, stumbling and falling, they finally arrived at Afu, a place where they could temporarily find shelter from the wind and rain as well as evil cat meat dealers.

With so many kitties coming in and now about 1000 in all at the shelter, the pressure on food, medicine, and cages increased dramatically. We earnestly call everyone to lend a helping hand to these newly rescued little lives!

阜阳阜南，当地城管、农业农村局取缔了长期偷猫猫贩的窝点，终止贩猫恶行。

由于当地没有安置点，早前一次拯救的150只猫全部原地放了，终究还是会被捕捉，当地志愿者找到平安阿福恳求帮助，一星期前我们接收23只获救猫咪，早两天再迎来27只毛孩子，下午3点抵达基地。

每天都有新的生命抵达，亦或是在手术台上与生命在赛跑！

它们品种不同，过往却相似：

被遗弃、被转手、流离失所，跌跌撞撞，终于来到阿福，这个可以暂时遮风挡雨的地方。

一下子新增这么多小猫，粮、药、笼具压力陡增，恳请大家伸出援手，帮帮这些刚刚获救的小生命！

A kind-hearted person brought a poor female dog to the shelter. She had suffered a difficult birth and her fetus had died in the womb, but half of the fetus was still inside the birth canal. The kind person, unsure what to do, rushed her to Ping An Afu. After examination, Dr. Sun decided to perform immediate surgery, removing the stillborn fetus and spaying the dog at the same time. The vet estimated the dog to be about ten years old. It's unclear whether she was abandoned or lost. It's so sad that she suffered at such an advanced age. Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and after post-operative care, she can stay in ping a a fu shelter to enjoy her remaining years.

Special thanks to the kind person whose good deed saved the dog's life and changed its future.

Ping An Afu has over 5,000 furry friends. Besides their basic needs for food, water, and shelter, they are given watermelon to cool off in the summer and coal stoves for warmth in the cold. Except for special circumstances such as illness requiring confinement in cages, each dog yard and cat room offers ample space to move around.

The volunteer adoption team works tirelessly to find homes for each pet. Before adoption, all pets undergo rigorous screening and home visits, with follow-up visits to check on potential adopter living condition and whether the rescues are adapting well to their new lives. In the adoption WeChat group, parents can exchange experiences and share everyday happenings. Dr. Sun provides medical consultations within the group, striving to provide maximum support to parents and ensure their pets have a happy future. The volunteer team also regularly promotes responsible pet ownership and the concept of adoption instead of shopping in shopping malls, schools, and other public places, hoping to spread the message of responsible pet ownership and adoption, to every corner of the city.

The rescue journey was long and arduous, and facing various forms of misunderstanding, coupled with the deteriorating environment, made it even more difficult for Ping An Afu to move forward. With nearly a ton of food every day, plus medical expenses, electricity bills, wages for the care giving workers, and all sorts of other costs, the pressure Sister Ha endured daily was unimaginable.

We hope our friends will support Ping An Afu, this extremely difficult-to-operate rescue station, and give the animals the confidence to survive. Thank you so much!

好心人送来的可怜母狗，因难产已胎死腹中，但半个小身体还在产道里，好心人看到不知怎办，紧急送来平安阿福。孙医生检查后決定即时手术，除了取出死胎也顺道给绝育了。据医生判断狗狗大约十岁，不知是弃养还是走失的，可怜这么大年纪遭罪，幸好手术顺利，术后调理后可以回到基地安享晚年。

特別感谢好心人，善举救了狗狗的命，更改变狗子的下半生。

平安阿福五千多毛孩子，除了吃、喝、住的生存基本需求，夏天吃冰吃西瓜降温，天冷煤炉给取暖。除了养病这些特殊状况要困笼子休息，每个狗舍及猫房都给予足够活动空间。

领养义工团队，一直努力给孩子找家，出领养前都经严格审核及家访，亦会回访看孩子真实状况，是否适应新生活。领养微信群组內，家长们可交流心得亦可分享日常趣事，孙医生在群组內提供医疗咨询，务求给予家长们最大支援，令毛孩子有幸福的下半生。义工团队不定期到商场学校等地方宣传，希望带出文明养宠，领养代替购买的理念到城市每个角落。

救助之路凌漫长而艰难，面对各种不理解，大环境变差更令平安阿福举步为艰。每天近一吨粮食，医疗、电费、饲养员工资，各种大小开支，哈大姐每天承受压力实难以想象。

A week ago, a mother dog and her seven puppies were abandoned outside Ping An A Fu rescue center. When they first arrived, the mother dog's eyes were filled with fear, and she fiercely protected her puppies, preventing strangers from approaching. To avoid frightening them, staff only entered their room and exited quietly when delivering food and cleaning.
A few days have passed, and the puppies have grown quite a bit, moving into a larger and more comfortable dog room together. The mother's defense caution has also completely melted away. She wags her tail and greets staff with a smile whenever she sees them! That sense of security is incredibly touching: The rescues understand all the love and kindness when we show it to them. We think the animals are indeed sincere, sensitive and loyal!
The mother dog is currently getting regular outdoor time; the puppies will need to be cared for for a few more months, and the male puppies will join the large dog family once their physical condition allows them to be spayed/neutered. They will go into the group of dogs who are of similar age and body types as well as personality.
Love is responsibility, and sterilization is protection! We urge all pet owners to sterilize their pets scientifically and refuse to abandon them. This will reduce the cases of the tragedy due to homelessness. The love of animals is the love of human beings.
一星期前，狗妈带着7个孩子被扔在救助站外。刚来时狗妈眼神全是恐惧，死死护着宝宝不让陌生人靠近。为了不惊吓它们，工作人员只在送餐和清洁时安静出入。
​几天过去，奶宝们长大了不少，一起搬进了更大更舒适的房子。狗妈的戒备也彻底融化了，现在见到工作人员就会摇尾巴笑脸迎人！那份安心，让人无比感慨：你对它的好，它全懂。
​目前狗妈已有定期放风时间；小奶宝们需再照顾几个月，雄性宝宝待身体条件允许完成绝育后，就会正式加入狗舍大家庭。
爱是责任，绝育是保护！请广大宠主务必做到科学绝育、拒绝源头遗弃，守护毛孩子健康的同时，也减少无家可归的流浪悲剧。

On July 16th, one of Ping An A Fu cat bases was forced to relocate urgently. Hundreds of furry friends squeezed into an abandoned and dilapidated five-story old building in Quanjiao within just one week. For a full month and a half, in order to save hundreds of thousands of yuan in construction costs, Sister Ha and her staff used their bare hands to collect broken bricks and scraps from the wholesale market, and built the 3,800-square-meter cat house by hand. They endured two typhoons and rainstorms.The harsh environment of no water and no air conditioning in the sweltering heat of 40 degrees Celsius adds to the challenges which includes the accident of staff being bitten by stressed furry friends and the harassment from people who dislike animals.

On September 1st, the cats finally moved into their makeshift "new home," ending their ordeal of wandering. However, the extreme lack of funds had pushed the shelter to the brink of collapse. The more than 5,000 furry friends, who had been surviving on a mixture of steamed buns and dry food for a week, faced the daily threat of starvation.

With daily food expenses approaching 10,000 yuan and only half that amount funded, this shelter, which has stood for 25 years, is struggling to survive. Despite the difficult circumstances, Sister Ha and her large family continue to plead for attention and assistance from all sectors of society to help these newly arrived lives weather the food crisis. 自7月16日其中处猫咪基地被迫紧急搬离，南京阿福基地在短短一周内带着几百毛孩子，挤进了全椒一栋荒置破败的五层旧楼。整整一个半月里，为省下数以十万计的建设费，哈大姐与员工们靠着双手跑遍批发城搜集碎砖尾料，在3800平方米的毛坯楼里徒手搭建，忍受两次台风暴雨侵袭、四十度酷暑下无水无空调的恶劣环境，甚至面临工作人员被应激毛孩子咬伤的意外及不喜动物的人刁难。

9月1日，猫猫们终于搬进了拼凑出的“新家”，告别了颠沛流离，但极度匮乏的资金已将基地推向绝境。已靠馒头掺干粮维持一周的五千多只毛孩子，每天面临断粮危机。

每日近万元的生存粮食开销与仅能筹集一半的现实，让这所坚守了25年的避难所举步维艰。尽管大环境艰难，哈大姐带着这个庞大家庭依然在咬牙呐喊，恳请社会各界给予一份关注与援助，帮这些刚刚落脚的生命撑过断粮危机。万分感谢！

Ping An Afu has nearly 6,000 furry friends, and all resources have to be used sparingly. The weather is even worse than usual, with either scorching sun or torrential rain. Due to the high electricity bills, only the elderly and the long-term care intensive care units, and the patient wards have air conditioning.
Of the four base locations, 90 percent of the rescues need ice to help cool down. Each time, 100 ice cubes are distributed, one or two cubes to each room in each shelter. The ice, along with fans, helps cool the rooms and help the animals get through the most difficult hours of the day. Electricity is expensive, and ice is comparatively less costly. However, ice is still a consumable item, needed almost daily during hot weather, making it a continuous and urgent expense.

Sister Ha worries about food and healthcare every day. With nearly 6,000 furry babies, she has to deal with all sorts of management issues on one hand, and on the other hand, she has to hold a bottle and feed the babies who lost their mothers . Due to the lack of staff, Ms. Ha is shouldering the responsibilities of care takers. Her own health is a concern too though she keeps saying "Don't worry about me".
With the economic downturn, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep the children fed. We hope our friends will continue to support and encourage Ping An shelters. 平安阿福近六千毛孩子，所有资源都得用在刀尖上。天气比过往更不友好，不是暴晒就是暴雨，就由于电费高昂，所以只有老弱房、长期照顾的加护房以及病房才有空调。
而其他毛孩子还需要冰块辅助降温，每次100块，分到各个基地的每一个房间一至两块，就靠冰块加风扇令室內降温，令毛孩子度过每天最难熬的那几个小时。 然而冰块是消耗品，高温天几乎天天都需要，这是一笔持续的紧迫开支。按每块18元，一次100块就要人民币1800元，十天就要18000元。

哈大姐每天不是愁粮食就是烦医疗，平安阿福每天都出现各种问题，近六千多毛孩子，这边还要烦各种管理，那边手上拿着奶瓶喂沒妈的宝宝，人员不足就只能当上奶妈。

The dog was rescued earlier, but a large patch of skin was missing from the front of its hind leg near its paw. The cause of the injury was unclear, and to prevent further injury, it had to be kept in a cage to recover. After treatment, new skin has grown, and it will be able to return to its kennel soon.

Ping An Afu shelters host nearly 6,000 rescued children. They receive only one ton of food all together daily, and with medical and electricity costs, plus the cooling cost in the sweltering summer, we face challenges each day.. Today (August 10th), Ping An A Fu shelters in Quanjiao were hit hard by torrential rain from Typhoon Dolphin, and all four low level shelter bases were in a state of emergency. To prevent danger, we immediately switch off the power. Dogs are let out into yards in case they have to find higher ground. The relocation of the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled to safer indoor areas is now the priority.

Most of the cats at Ping An's house had been homeless before, and severe weather had always been a test of their survival. We are all on high alert, praying for the bad weather to pass quickly.

The cat shelter base, which was previously forced to relocate, is still under construction at its new location. Bad weather caused work to stop, and window glass was blown off. Currently, iron mesh has been installed for safety. Furthermore, due to the weather, food raw materials cannot be delivered, making it impossible to cook meals in door for the rescues. The cost of store bought food has increased significantly, and the base is under unprecedented pressure.

We earnestly ask your help to weather this storm with us. The 5000 plus rescues in Ping An A Fu are so grateful for you to reach out hand and support us to withstand the enormous expenses incurred during this challenging period.

今天(8月10日)全椒遭强台风“白海豚”暴雨重袭，四个低洼基地全面告急。为免发生危险我们紧急断电放狗让它们找高处避险，并将老弱病残优先转移至总部。

平安家的孩子们大都曾经流浪，以往遇到恶劣天气都是对它们生存考验，待晴天到了能不能活下来也是未知数。除了工作人员，阿汪喵咪们都严阵以待，希望坏天气快点过去。

早前因被迫迁的基地，新地方仍在赶工中，坏天气导致停工，窗戶玻璃也飞脫现时只装上铁网以保安全。更因天气原材料送不来，不能产自家粮，成品粮开销大大增加，基地运转压力空前。

The weather has been unusual lately, with strong winds, torrential rain, and unusually hot conditions, which is even more noticeable at the Ping An Base located in the suburbs near mountains. Although it was 34°C, our skin tells us it is actually 40°C, it was still a rare good day. The dogs all came out to play, and the caretaker set up feeding areas outside so that the pups could eat happily and then rest in the shade afterward. The rescues are happy with their friends together in this large family. They came from all kinds of cruel and neglect situations.

The caretakers usually put out a plate when feeding the animals, but they also scatter food on the floor so everyone can eat. They clean the area regularly, so they're not worried about making a mess. Aunt Ha often says she wants the animals to live freely, so wherever they move, she always leaves plenty of space for them to run around.

Every place and every country in the world has its villains, but there are also incredibly kind people who touch our hearts deeply. Although raising six thousand animals is incredibly difficult, Sister Ha never gave up, striving tirelessly to help the furry children and the Ping An Afu family survive. Dr. Sun, even while studying medicine, continued to help the Ping An family, giving up a high-paying job to come to this low-wage place where he had to take on extra work to support his family. He also provides free medical consultations to families adopted by the Ping An family. The Ping An Afu family is a group of people who quietly dedicate themselves, hoping only that the furry children can live a better life.

最近天气反常，不是大风就是暴雨，又或异常炎热，对于身处郊区的平安基地感受更大。虽然今天也有摄氏34°C，体感40°C，但也是难得的好天气，狗子们都跑出来玩耍，工作人员也把喂食点放在外面，待孩子能开心吃饭，饭后都占在树荫下休息。

工作人员喂食时大都会放盘子，但也会特意撒在地上方便大伙儿都能吃上，反正都在定时清洁，完全不怕弄脏地方。哈大姐最经常说的是希望毛孩子能自由生活，所以不论搬到哪裡都总会预留大空地给孩子撒欢。

世上每处地方每个国家都总有恶人，但也有令人感动的大善人存在，虽然带着六千口生活过得实在艰难，但哈大姐从沒放弃，努力的为毛孩子为平安阿福家挣扎求存。孙医生还在学医期间就一直帮助平安家，放弃高薪来到这个工资低微，还要自行接外活来支撐家庭，对于由平安家出领养的家庭更是免费医疗咨询，平安阿福背后是一群默默付出的人，只希望毛孩子能活得好一点。
