🏔️🇨🇭 ONE TITLE. THREE COUNTRIES. THE ALPENCHAMPION. 🏆

Did you know that your wins in Switzerland, Germany and Austria can be combined towards an Alpenchampion title?

The Alpenchampion titles are jointly awarded by SKG, VDH and ÖKV at selected dog shows across the three countries.

There are three titles to aim for:

🐾 Alpen Jugend Champion
Earn 2 Alpen-Jugend Winner titles in two different countries, under two different judges.

🏆 Alpen Champion
Earn 3 Alpen-Champion Winner titles in all three countries – Switzerland, Germany and Austria – under three different judges, plus one additional CAC qualification from the country where the title is homologated.

🐾 Alpen Veteranen Champion
Earn 2 Alpen-Veteranen Winner titles in two different countries, under two different judges.

🇨🇭 And Geneva can be part of your journey!

The Geneva Dog Show 2026 gives you the opportunity to compete for an Alpen title qualification right here in Switzerland.

🇨🇭🏆 A STEP FURTHER – THE SWISS GRAND CHAMPION

Already a Swiss Show Champion or Swiss Beauty Champion? Then there is another title to aim for: the Swiss Grand Champion! ⭐🐾

To earn this title, your dog must:

🏆 Already hold the Swiss Show Champion and/or Swiss Beauty Champion title
🐾 Win 3 CACs in Champion Class after the Swiss Champion title has officially been awarded
👥 The 3 CACs must be awarded by 3 different judges at International Swiss CACIB Dog Shows
🥇 At least one of these CACs must include 1 CACIB and BOB or BOS
❌ Reserve CACs do not count towards this title

For nationally recognised breeds, special requirements apply.

So even after becoming a Swiss Champion, the journey doesn’t have to end. There’s another prestigious title waiting for you! 🇨🇭🏆

And with 3 CACIB shows in Geneva, you have three more opportunities to continue your journey towards the Swiss Grand Champion title. 🐾

❓WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE❓

Swiss Show Champion vs.
Swiss Beauty Champion

The two titles may sound similar, but there are some important differences. 🐾

🔴 SWISS SHOW CHAMPION
• 3 CACs required
• At least 2 CACs from International Dog Shows
• Awarded by at least 3 different judges
• No minimum time period between the first and last CAC
• Reserve CACs are not recognised for this title

🔵 SWISS BEAUTY CHAMPION
• 4 CACs required
• At least 2 CACs from International Dog Shows
• Awarded by at least 3 different judges
• A minimum of 11 months and 1 day must pass between the first and last CAC
• Reserve CACs can be recognised
• Additional breed club requirements may apply for certain breeds

🏆 Both titles allow your dog to compete in the Champion Class.

Next in our Swiss Champion Title series: the Swiss Show Champion!

To earn this title, a dog must obtain:

🏅 3 CACs, including at least 2 CACs at International Dog Shows
👥 The CACs must be awarded by 3 different judges

And there’s another great benefit: once awarded, the Swiss Show Champion title allows your dog to compete in the Champion Class. 🏆

With 3 CACIB & 2 CAC shows in one weekend, the Geneva Dog Show gives you several opportunities to take another step towards your Swiss title. 🇨🇭

What is actually the difference between the Swiss Show Champion and the Swiss Beauty Champion?

They may sound very similar, but the requirements are different.

The spotlight now belongs to the World Dog Show 2026 and to our colleagues at ENCI, who carry the great responsibility of organizing the most important event in the international dog world Wds2026

Having organized the World Dog Show in Geneva in 2023, we know firsthand how much dedication, hard work and passion are invested in an event of this scale. We look back with great appreciation on that experience and recognize the enormous commitment required to bring together the global dog community.
