AO VET It is a Clinical Division of the AO Foundation. The AO VET community embodies a culture of teaching and learning, combined with research and development.

AO VET is a not-for-profit organization that represents a global network of surgeons, scientists, and other professionals highly specialized in the field of veterinary surgery of the musculoskeletal system. The AO VET educational events give veterinarians the tools necessary to deliver high-quality care for orthopedic cases in a peer-to-peer interactive learning environment, whereas eLearning provides flexible training opportunities. Additionally, AO VET faculty is required to complete periodic educator programs that help them more effectively deliver educational content. AO VET is the voice and professional resource for individuals working in the field of veterinary orthopedic trauma and reconstruction as well as musculoskeletal disorders. As the only worldwide academic community in veterinary medicine that delivers innovative educational and research opportunities, AO VET created a membership to give veterinarians a core group of individuals with whom to communicate, not only to solve clinical problems, but also to enhance their training and career. After attending an AO VET educational event, becoming a member is the means to joining the AO VET family and sharing our passion for veterinary surgery.

El pasado 2 de octubre vivimos una jornada muy especial en Argentina con el AO VET Connect—Osteosíntesis en el equino.
Un encuentro que reunió a profesionales con diferentes trayectorias, experiencias y perspectivas, unidos por una misma pasión: la medicina veterinaria y la salud equina.
Fue una jornada de aprendizaje, intercambio y mucha camaradería, donde cada experiencia y cada nuevo punto de vista tuvieron un espacio para sumar.

🚨 Última oportunidad para participar del AO VET Connect – Osteosíntesis en el equino

La osteosíntesis equina exige decisiones rápidas y una técnica precisa. En este seminario, cinco cirujanos equinos compartirán sus conocimientos a través de presentaciones sobre cicatrización ósea, selección adecuada de implantes e instrumental, manejo de fracturas complejas y rehabilitación del paciente quirúrgico.

Y porque la teoría sin contexto no alcanza para el día a día, el seminario irá más allá de las presentaciones: los cinco disertantes participarán en una mesa redonda para conversar sobre la realidad de la osteosíntesis en Argentina y compartir sus experiencias.

Esta edición es una introducción a los conceptos generales de la ortopedia equina —desde cómo cicatriza un hueso hasta la rehabilitación—, pensada para estudiantes avanzados y veterinarios. No profundizaremos en técnicas puntuales: es una puerta de entrada para descubrir y comprender los fundamentos de la osteosíntesis equina.
