Great Dane Breeder, specializing in Blue and Black Great Danes, striving to breed the best in health they are my family, my puppies homes become my family!

I have been involved with the Great Dane breed for over 20 years. Our first Great Dane 'Tucker' was a rescue, who defiantly taught me about the stubborn personality of a Great Dane. I started with hands on learning to show Great Danes in 2008. In 2010 I set foot for the first time in a confirmation ring and have been enticed back ever since. It took me 7 years to plan my very first breeding, I do not take breeding lightly.....it is a life! Inquires are always welcome.

Enjoy our last afternoon adventure walks with the pack this week. Some great weather to take it all in the beginning of the week.

Accepting applications for guardian homes. What does a guardian home entail? Looking after an intact Great Dane, feeding twice a day with access to plenty of fresh water, having Great Dane experience is best, access to enriching environments and exercise, ability to trim nails and bath as needed. Cuddles, affection and having a shadow follow for endless company is their return offerings. They would be coming back to me next year in or around February, (still figuring a lot of logistics out yet) as I am trying to figure a way to not cut my breeding program completely. Ethical, respectable breeders are a dying existence, so this may give that possibility a chance, as well helping mentor someone in to the breed. What is the public thoughts on this, is it worth the effort to try continue with Morning Dew Danes or would it be better for the bred to call it quits indefinitely?

My family’s are the absolute best a picking me up. It has been an emotionally draining week in regards to responses to transportation for adult Great Danes, the company’s cannot even get them to the country we are moving to. We would have to land in another country then rent a vehicle and drive 1400 miles. So many things to consider, my heart needed this lift in spirits and something Danes magically can do by just being their amazingly beautiful self’s.

With a heavy heart I would like to inform you all that Morning Dew will cease breeding. Our family is relocating out of country, it will take years to settle and be confident and comfortable to consider breeding further. The plan of taking a puppy or two with us has disintegrated with negative ultrasounds yesterday. Because of the extent of the trip traveling with the adults has proved unrealistic due to the route and lack of ability I have found thus far in pet transport companies. I am not giving up but feel it best to start considering the possibility that I need to find the right home for them here in Canada. To all my families that were hoping to have a Morning Dew pup grace your homes I apologize and am willing to help you find the right breeder for your future Great Dane. I may transition the page into the travels of our Great Danes, the future holds that answer. If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out.

Honoured and humbled to receive Breeder of the year award from the Great Dane Club of Canada for 2025. In order to receive this award a breeder must be in good standing of the Great Dane Club of Canada, the award is based on the number of champions the breeder produced in the award year. 5 championships were obtained over the 2025 year all pictured. Gemma, Valori, Hestia, Izzy and Ayla. Huge thanks to my girls for helping out and having fun while we show and of course to Helen Chang for encouraging me to toss my hat in for breeder of the year.
