YOUNG HORSES + OPEN CLASSES
Have a young horse? Bring them out!
Our fall CWHBA shows aren’t just for Canadian Warmbloods!
There are opportunities for young horses to get experience, exposure, scores and feedback from CWHBA judges.
Open Classes
Open to warmbloods registered with a WBFSG-recognized breed registry — and ponies are welcome too!
Classes include:
2026 Foals
2025 Yearlings
2024 2-Year-Olds
2023 3-Year-Olds
2022 & older 4-Year-Old+
Horses are evaluated on conformation, walk and trot in hand, with numerical scores and inspector comments provided.
It’s a great opportunity to get young horses out into the world without needing to jump a course or compete under saddle.
Young Horse Evaluations Under Saddle
Open to horses 3–5 years old, with the option to present your horse as either a dressage or jumper prospect.
The horse is presented under saddle at walk, trot and canter, evaluated by the judges, and may also be ridden by a test rider. The scores are then combined.
📍 October 25 — CJ Equestrian
