🕷️ We pulled off this Big Bertha & her speedy friend off a patient who had only been playing in his own backyard 🌿

It’s a common misconception that ticks are only found on hiking trails or deep in the woods. The reality is that they can be found in backyards, parks, and even your neighborhood.

🐶 Protect your pet by:
✔️ Keeping them on a veterinarian-recommended tick prevention year-round (or as advised for your area)
✔️ Checking them thoroughly for ticks after spending time outdoors, especially around the ears, neck, face, armpits, between the toes, and under the collar
✔️ Contacting your veterinary team if you find a tick or notice any signs of illness after a tick bite

Tick prevention is much easier than treating the diseases ticks can transmit. A quick tick check and consistent prevention can go a long way in keeping your pet healthy.
