Big news! Golden Paws Grooming is moving to a new home!

Hi everyone! I am excited to share that I will be packing up my shears and moving to a new location! Starting this August, I will be working out of D's Dog Spa at 133 St. Clare Avenue. While this is about a 35 minute drive from my current location, I will still be providing the same care and compassion that your pup deserves.

There will be some changes in the booking process. Online booking will no longer be available, so you can book by messaging me on facebook, or by calling the salon directly (phone number will be provided in the near future). I will be working most days alongside the fabulous owner of D’s, Toni, but will still have some availability for one on one appointments for those dogs who do better on their own! Please make sure to let me know at booking if your dog needs a one on one, as these appointments will be limited.

All of my current clients are welcome to continue booking with me at the new location, however I completely understand that the extra drive may not work with everyone’s schedule. If the distance is too far, please let me know, I want to make sure all of your pups are taken care of and will provide their grooming notes to give to their future groomer!

There will also be some changes to pricing once I am set up at the new location.

I am still open for bookings at the current salon until July 11th and those who have appointments already booked for after that will be contacted within the coming days and will have the option to reschedule, cancel, or keep their appointment at the new location.

There may be more updates in the coming months, but for now, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hi Everyone!

My online booking system is back up and running!

You’ll notice a few changes to the schedule. Appointments are now organized into specific time slots based on service type. This adjustment helps me manage my workload more efficiently while continuing to provide the best care for your pets, as I am running the salon on my own.

The daily booking structure is as follows:

Slot A - 10am - Large dogs (Lg dog bath and haircut, fluffy dog bath and tidy/silhouette trim)

Slot B - 1pm - Small dog Bath and haircuts

Slot C - 3pm - All other services (Golden retriever/setter silhouette trims, bath and tidy for non fluffy lg dogs, puppy grooms, etc)

Slot D - 5pm - Nail trims, ear cleaning, etc

Only one dog will be able to be booked for each slot.

Appointments that are currently booked are still good to go, I will be working around them until my schedule lines back up!

You'll notice that the system will ask you to input your dogs weight when booking next. This is to ensure you are shown the correct services and time slots for your dog's size. This doesn't have to be exact, an approximate guess will do!

I understand that some dogs do best at certain times of day, and I’m always happy to accommodate when possible. Appointments that require special timing can be arranged by messaging me on Facebook or by texting me at 709-700-9112. Text is the best way to reach me, as the salon can be quite busy and noisy during the day.

Another thing you'll notice is that if you are booking multiple pets, depending on the services you choose, you may get a message telling you there are no time slots available. Please see examples below:

Ex 1. You are booking a husky in for a fluffy dog bath and tidy, and a large doodle for a bath and tidy. Since Fluffy dog bath and tidies are only available for the 10 am slot, and Lg doodle bath and tidies are only available for the 3pm slot, you will get an error message. Please contact me to book.

Ex 2. You are booking a lg dog bath and haircut and a small dog bath and haircut. Since the 10 am slot is available for lg dogs, and the 1pm slot is available for small dog haircuts, you should have no problem booking.

Ex 3. You are booking two small dogs for bath and haircuts. You will receive the error message since each slot is only for one dog. Please contact me to book.

If you are unsure what service your dog requires, please contact me, as the service that is booked is the only service I am able to provide.

Please also note that the salon hours have now changed to 10am - 5:30pm!

As this is a new scheduling system, there may be a few minor adjustments along the way. If you have any questions or run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hi everyone! Due to rising supply costs, prices are updating slightly: nail trims $15 and tax for all sizes of dogs, small dog full groom $80 and tax, large dog silhouette trims $80 and tax (extras may apply for heavy brushing/detangling). I’ll also be reviewing each client’s services before their next appointment to determine if individual price adjustments are needed based on your dog’s behavior, grooming time, and frequency of matting. Please note that if your dog's current price for one of the services listed above is already above my old prices due to behaviour or matting, the difference will be added onto my new prices.
