This week, we were spoiled by not one, but two fabulous clients who dropped off some delicious treats for our team as a thank-you for helping care for their beloved fur babies. 🐾💙
It truly means so much to our entire team when you take the time to show your appreciation. We feel incredibly lucky to care for your pets—and even luckier to have such wonderful clients!

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Dr. Anneliese Heinrich, our incredible behaviour specialist! 🐾💙

Our True North team has been so fortunate to host Dr. Heinrich, a board-certified Veterinary Behaviour Specialist, as she travelled to Manitoba to provide her expertise, care, and support to our community.✨

We are so grateful for all the time she has dedicated to travelling to Manitoba, and for the many patients and families she has helped along the way. It has been a privilege to have her join us for clinics, and we truly appreciate everything she has brought to our team and our community. 🫶🏼

Star pupil alert!🌟
We got to recheck Gracie's eye the other day! She had a ruptured eye and her diligent owners rushed her right in to Dr. Hsu.🚨 Gracie had a corneal graft surgery using a thin, but tough product called Biosis, to save her eye. 👁️ The use of Biosis allows for a little more vision through the large graft, over a conjunctival pedical graft. Biosis is not an option for all patients, however Gracie and her family read the textbook on healing and she is acing all her recheck exams! 🤓
Her eye looks amazing, and we are always so excited when we get to recheck this happy, sweet girl!

🐾🩵Happy International Blind Dog Day! 🩵🐾
In honour of International Blind Dog Day yesterday, we want to celebrate one of the incredible dogs who reminds us that vision isn’t everything. We have Gertrude the sweetest Dachshund who lost her eyes, but not her zest for life! 😍

Blind dogs can still explore, play, cuddle, go for walks, learn new things, and live incredibly happy and fulfilling lives. With a little patience, some adaptations, and lots of love, they can continue to thrive. 🐶✨

At True North Veterinary Eye Care, we’re honoured to care for our patients through every stage of their journey — whether we’re working to preserve their vision or helping them adjust to life without it. 🩵

👃 They navigate with their noses.
👂 They listen with their ears.
🐾 They feel their surroundings with their paws.
🐶 They lean on other fur friends for support.
❤️ And they experience the world with their whole hearts.
