Spirit of Hope Rescue We are a volunteer run, foster based, non profit dog rescue that runs a low cost vaccination, spay/neuter, and food program for Indigenous communities.

SOHR was started in January of 2012 by Director Cathie Mieyette as a promise to herself that if she was to survive what was then a life saving stem cell transplant, she would start a rescue to assist First Nations communities with the overpopulation of dogs. Cathie is a four time cancer survivor. Since 2012, Cathie and her team at SOHR has rescued more than 4000 dogs.

❤️ DONATIONS NEEDED❤️

❤️We saved 2 pups two days ago and at the intake appointment Della vomited and Dr.Virdi at River Park Vet did a Parvo test and it came back positive for Parvo. Parvo is a deadly virus that can kill if not treated on time. Dory was negative but she was treated as a precautionary.

❤️Parvo will cost SOHR around $1500.00 for the two pups. They are both doing good and they unhooked the IV treatment and are on oral meds today.

❤️ Can you give up a coffee for a week or give up eating out to help put money on their vet bill?

❤️ To donate you can send any amount by etransfer to [email protected]
(On memo put Della and Dory’s vet bill)

❤️You can call River Park Vet to donate by credit card!

❤️ You can send in by PayPal

❤️ Or you can send in a check to
