Meet Our Representative of the Month: Leanne! 🐾



Serving our community since 2018, Leanne brings a unique blend of passion and professionalism to every home she visits. While she originally saw house and pet sitting as a retirement dream, she decided why wait?

When she isn't working her full-time role, you’ll find Leanne lost in a good book, traveling, or hanging out with her dog, Kahla. Her favorite part of the job? Providing homeowners with total "peace of mind" while they’re away.

We are so lucky to have you on the team, Leanne!



P.S If you're lucky enough to get her, you may come home to your mail sorted in alphabetical order, and she might read to your pets once in a while!

Our ‘tail’ begins with a dark and stormy evening in Winnipeg, the kind we know so well these days, with dark skies and lots of wind. Our Houseguard Representative was caring for a couple of dogs that enjoyed running about the backyard on her visits.
On this particular evening, she arrived and just as she was about to let the dogs outside, noticed something not quite right. Leaving the disappointed dogs in the house, she went to investigate and found the high winds had taken down a wire. Not knowing if it was a live wire or not, she erred on the side of caution.
Our Houseguard Representative called Manitoba Hydro and explained her concern. Within an hour, Manitoba Hydro was at the home and had taken care of the situation. Kudos to Hydro!!
The dogs excitement at being back in their beloved yard, running about was an absolute pleasure!
Thank you to our amazing Houseguard Representative for being alert in catching the concern and dealing with it so promptly. A paw-sitively wonderful ending with Peace of Mind for all!

Excellent service. I had to leave suddenly for a funeral in another city and Houseguard Housesitters responded swiftly, arranging a cat sitter and contacting me to confirm arrangements while I was away.

COVID-19 Update
During this time of uncertainty, our number one priority at HOUSEGUARD is the health and safety of our customers, representatives and all members of our community.

Although travel has been very limited, please be assured that we will continue to look after the properties that are trusted to our care. Our yard care services of lawn mowing, garden watering, and hot tub/pool checking are ongoing.

We require initial visits and any changes be completed and communicated over the phone or by email rather than an in person visit with your representative to accommodate social distancing.

All key pickups and returns will be done through mail boxes or lock boxes to minimize physical contact

All of our HOUSEGUARD reps will practice safe measures and report any health related concerns so we can find alternative coverage if required. Please give us a call if you have any questions.
