Veterinary Assistant (VA) – Full time
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and animal-loving individual to join our team as a full-time Veterinary Assistant!
We’re looking for a proactive team player who takes initiative, recognizes what needs to be done, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, stays organized, and takes pride in helping keep our clinic running smoothly.
Previous veterinary or animal care experience is an asset but is not required. We’re happy to train someone who is eager to learn and has the right attitude!
Responsibilities include:
• Cleaning and disinfecting exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and other clinic spaces.
• Safely and gently handling and restraining pets during appointments and procedures.
• Stocking exam rooms and keeping supplies organized.
• Answering incoming phone calls and assisting clients.
• Filling and preparing medications accurately under the direction of the veterinary team.
• Assisting veterinarians, technicians, reception, and other team members as needed.
• Helping with inventory, general clinic upkeep, and daily tasks.
• Taking initiative to identify and complete tasks without always needing direction.
• Providing compassionate care to patients and helping create a positive client experience.
