Feline Urinary Blockages & Crystals: A True Emergency 🚨

Urinary crystals can form in a cat’s bladder and may lead to painful inflammation, irritation, and even a life-threatening urinary blockage. Male cats are especially at risk because of their narrow urethra.

Watch for signs such as:
• Straining to urinate
• Frequent trips to the litter box
• Producing only small amounts of urine
• Blood in the urine
• Lethargy, vomiting, or hiding

If your cat is unable to urinate, this is a medical emergency and requires immediate veterinary attention. Early diagnosis and treatment can make all the difference.

Keeping fresh water available, feeding an appropriate urinary health diet, and scheduling regular veterinary checkups can help reduce the risk.

🚴 Ride for Dads Reminder for this Saturday!

Please note that during the Ride for Dads event, it will be VERY loud around and inside the clinic throughout the day.

If your pet tends to be anxious or sensitive to noise and you have an appointment scheduled, if you have an anxious pet please give us a call when you arrive & we can arrange to let you in through the back entrance when possible. However, please keep in mind that the inside of the building may still be quite loud.

If needed, we are also happy to help rebook appointments to ensure your pet has the best possible experience with us. 💙

Please also note:
• Our back lane remains closed
• Parking will be limited and difficult to find
• Expect traffic delays in the area

Please expect delays with travel and parking when coming to appointments. Current road and access impacts include:

• Moray Bridge is down to one lane
• Portage Avenue is down to one lane
• Our back lane is currently closed due to cement work being redone

We kindly ask that you give yourself some extra travel time to ensure you arrive to your appointment on time. Parking may also be more difficult to find during this time.

Miss Pumpkin stopped by for her regular spa day package: mani pedi, a**l gland expression, and a quick oral Bordetella vaccine so she can stay protected and fabulous. 💅🏼

As always, she absolutely nailed the classic pug hold™️—tiny legs out, belly up, zero worries in the world! Honestly, she looks like the sweetest little old lady at the salon catching up on the neighborhood gossip while getting pampered.

And can we PLEASE talk about those toe beans?!😭

Pumpkin was the perfect little patient and soaked up all the attention like the queen she is. We love your visits, Pumpkin!
