Did you know that dogs experience time differently than we do?

They can recognize routines, remember experiences, and even tell the difference between shorter and longer periods of time. But they don’t seem to think about time in quite the same way humans do, dividing life into yesterday, tomorrow, next week, or next year.

In many ways, a dog’s world is much more connected to what is happening right now.

And philosophically, there is something beautiful about that.

If you aren’t constantly wondering when the present moment will end or what tomorrow will bring, then maybe each moment becomes its own little eternity.

That’s something we think about at Belly Rub Club.

Our goal isn’t simply to give dogs a place to spend a few hours while their people are away. We want those hours, those little moments that make up their day, to feel safe, joyful, comfortable, and full of things they love.

Because to us, caring for a dog means more than making sure they are fed, exercised, and looked after. It means trying to make the world they are experiencing right now a good one.

And maybe that’s one of the reasons the people at Belly Rub Club don’t just work with dogs. We genuinely enjoy becoming part of that safe and happy little world for them❤️

They’re not here for a long time, but they’re here for a good time.

So let’s make every moment count :)
