🍔 September has arrived, and that can only mean one thing... it's burger season!

Le Burger Week is on now until September 7, and Park Café is serving up The Animal: a double beef patty loaded with melted cheddar, spicy dill pickle chips, dill pickle spread, and even more pickles on a potato scallion bun. 🥒

Trust us, it's kind of a big dill.

🦋 We're helping uncover the secrets of monarch migration!

As part of a national research project led by Environment and Climate Change Canada, our Conservation & Research team worked within the Park and joined partners at the Living Prairie Museum, safely capturing, tagging, and releasing monarch butterflies. Tiny radio transmitters help researchers track where these incredible insects travel, improving our understanding of migration routes, survival rates, and the challenges monarchs face along the way.

With monarch populations declining significantly across North America and the species now listed as Endangered under Canada's Species at Risk Act, every new piece of data helps support future conservation efforts. This research will help scientists better understand monarch migration patterns and identify ways to protect these remarkable pollinators throughout their journey.

We're proud to contribute our expertise to this important project and to work alongside conservation partners dedicated to protecting species at risk.

You can follow these butterflies as they migrate by using the Project Monarch app! Look for the monarchs our team tagged, labelled MB26. 🦋
