Good afternoon,

New items are listed in red on the list. You can view our latest stock list on our website.

Newest arrivals to the list are glofish and latest plant shipment. On the plants there are a few new ones including a new Anubias for us as well as return of a few varieties we have not had in a while.

Also a reminder that we are now into summer hours for the warehouse. We are now closed Fridays till sometime in September. Current hours for walk ins are;

Tuesdays - 3:00 - 7:00 PM
Thursdays - 3:00 - 7:00 PM
Saturdays - 11:00 - 5:00 PM
Sundays - 11:00 - 5:00 PM

We are also available for appointments outside of these hours for orders 300.00 and more. Email us directly to set up a mutual time that works!

We also noticed that the mailing program was reverting to a long dead email address as a replying email. I believe we have solved this problem, but all emails to us please use [email protected] to correspond with us. If we were not answering your emails this may be the answer too!

Often the best fish show up in the dead of the summer and with Winnipeg about to finally get 30 plus degree weather this is a sign that it is the start of the cool fish season! This week we definitely have that covered, highlights of which are;

- Hypostomus luteus both phase 1 and phase 2 (infact some are borderline phase 3) This is one of the kings of plecos
- Cameta brown and Rio Trombetas semi royal discus
- Bumble bee oscars the far rarer cousin of oscars Astronotus crassipinnis
- White seam bristlenose are in season once again
- L136 - have not had this one before. Sorta a nicer version of L04 which I often say is the most under rated of the plecos
- Red titanic plecos - L273
- LDA007 or sometimes called L600 the nicer version of Leopard cactus plecos. This is a seldom had one and more of a favors fish when we get them.
- Super schwartzi corys
- A couple seven pointer scarlet plecos
- Yellow Ponta grande plecos. One of if not the most striking of the L333 varieties
- Orange Venezuelan corys

Next up we are anticipating rainbow fish and African cichlids to be ready.

As many of you may know we typically throw a birthday sale on Spencer's birthday each year. This year holding the 50th convention we only had the sale for the attendees with how much was going on that week. So with that in consideration we will hold our annual birthday sale for this year tomorrow for Tom's birthday. Warehouse only - Thursday, May 14th, 3-7PM. We will do our best to put a majority of the warehouse on sale for it!

If you get Tom to flip you the bird (His favorite greeting for customers he truly likes) you may even get a further discount.

Highlights of the new arrivals are;

▪ A number of domestic discus varieties have arrived and are on hand.
▪ A rainbow of colors on the shrimp
▪ A number of Betta varieties once more
▪ Neolissochilus nigrovittatus for big cyprinid fans this one ends up as one of the most stunning
▪ Nice sized khuli loaches again
▪ Nice sized Hemimyzon nanensis - Hillstream loaches
▪ Very nice Gymnogeophagus terrapurpura
▪ A number of nano fish species
▪ Latest shipment of plants also arrived this week of which there is still a good variety available

Highlights of the new arrivals are;

▪ A huge number of peacock males, hap males and mbuna in color
▪ Paralabidochromis chromogynos - the piebald Victorian. Easily my favorite from the lake. Not that aggressive but also not the greatest of breeders compared to others in the lake. Hence seldmon i would have them on hand.
▪ More of the fantastic Geophagus sveni. This batch even a bit bigger then the last
▪ L01 - gold spot plecos first time in a long time
▪ Full adult Tobasco salvini in all their glory!
▪ Enormous creamsicle mollies
▪ Nice sized tinfoil barbs, still a fantastic dither fish for many cichlids and more aggressive fare.
▪ Great sized blue gourami
A really far heads up as we move to summer we are anticipating summer hours to run for a brief amount of time this year.

Highlights of the new arrivals are;

▪ A plethora of Bettas including a number of higher end ones
▪ Couple of cool endler types
▪ Nearly all the colors of the rainbow when it comes to shrimp
▪ Dwarf pea puffers
▪ Over sized red honey gouramis
▪ Blue tor
▪ Another cool rice fish in Yellow head rice fish
▪ Dragon puffers
▪ Dwarf green barbs, one of if not the most peaceful of all the barbs
▪ A number of domestic discus
▪ Trigonostigma somphongsi - a cool nano fish

We will be running regular hours through the Easter weekend coming up for the warehouse as a heads up. Shipping all depends on the stations being open on both sides. Westjet is closed for most of the weekend here but Air Canada remains open regular hours on this side. Hours of the warehouse will be

I am just back to Canada after a few farm tours and hand picking. Some of the fish are now here in the warehouse as well. Highlights of which are;

▪ Geophagus sveni - if not the prettiest of all Geophagus species it definitely is in the top two! A couple sizes on them and even a bit lower price too
▪ Nice sized lwanda and dragon blood peacock males in color
▪ Young adult Paratilapia bleekeri
▪ Couple of nice sizes on Herichthys carpintis "Escondido" that are glowing
▪ Young adult Gymnogeophagus terrapurpura
▪ A few varieties of domestic discus strains
▪ Young breeder sized Festivums
▪ More of the Red Fin Uruguayan plecos, by far the best of the algae eaters at all life stages
▪ Sailfin plecos for the first time in a long time for us
▪ As many of you know I despise flowerhorns, however we did get the origin of that fish in Amphilophus trimaculatum which has become rather increasingly rare and forgotten. Still a fantastic Central American cichlid
▪ Great sized Yellow Jacket cichlids
▪ Couple sizes on bamboo shrimp including some big ones!
▪ A number of Betta splendens varieties including aliens
▪ More of the very nice redtail loaches
▪ Platinum wrestling half beaks - about as personable as one can be in such a small fish
▪ Very nice sized Garra spilota
▪ More of the very nice Tumuki rice fish
▪ Dwarf green barbs - an ultra peaceful small barb species
▪ A first for us in inlay hovering loaches

We are also announcing effective immediately we are moving the box charges for singles to 25.00 and doubles 40.00 for both Air Canada and Westjet flights. Fedex singles will move to 50.00 and doubles to 75.00. This is in effort of not raising the prices on the shipping and fish with the incoming fuel surcharges that are going to be rather substantial with what is going on in the world these days. If things calm down and these surcharges go back we will of course look to lower the box charges back down. But this seemed to be the path of least resistance and the additional costs we will absorb beyond this for the time being. Hopefully this is only a temporary situation.

We are also accepting new resumes once more for part time work at this point with possibility of more down the road. With it being our busy season I do not suspect adding extra help on till a bit later in spring once it starts to slow down and can spend more time with training. If you want to submit a resume we kindly ask that you do so in person during weekend outlet store hours.
