Meet Saul he is now available for adoption at !!

He is a 10 month old Pomeranian mix and he is house trained!

Saul is a little lover. His foster mom said his name should be Mr. Happy. He wants to be near his people and wants scratches! New situations and people are a touch scary for him but he warms up quickly. He was rescued from a less than ideal environment, so we'd say he's making excellent progress. He's on his way to being a brave little boy! He can even sit and shake a paw. He loves carrots, apples and frozen yogurt. What a yummy diet!

Saul pulls on walks but he is still young and learning how to walk nicely on a leash. He is still working on his confidence. Children should be gentle and respect his space at first, so that he doesn't get scared. He will come around once he feels safe and then its all fun and games!

Saul gets along with his youthful foster brother. They like to run and chase each other in the backyard. His older brother tolerates him but isn't overly joyed with Saul's energy. (Leave my moley alone dude!) It would be best for Saul to have a home with dogs of similar age and energy in his forever home. He has done well with the cats as long as the cats aren't enticing him to a game of tag!

He loves to play fetch, so he would love an active home/family to play with him. He loves toys. A fun fur sibling would be a bonus as well. He's not a big fan of car rides right now, so if you do a lot of traveling he may not be the best fit. Although this would probably get better with time. He does use his voice, not excessively, but shared walls would not be the best suited home for him.

Hi, I’m Brave!

My siblings and I were trapped outside at about 2 months old. We have socialized really well, but can still be a bit shy with new people and situations.

After a bit of observation, I will live up to my name and seek out attention or explore my new surroundings!

I love food; I’m already a little chonky so I highly recommend measuring my food and meal feeding so I don’t turn into a little butterball.

I love sitting on laps and scritches of any kind. I’m comfortable with cats, have seen dogs & children, but never met any directly. I would likely acclimate well with controlled introductions to respectful dogs and children.

🐾An Important Update to Our Canine Vaccine Protocols💉

We’ve updated our dog vaccination protocols to include protection against Leptospirosis (Lepto), a bacterial infection that can cause serious illness in dogs.

🦠 What is Lepto?
Lepto is spread through water or soil contaminated with the urine of infected animals, including rodents, raccoons, and skunks. Dogs can be exposed when drinking from or walking through contaminated puddles and standing water.

🐶Why is vaccination important?
Although Lepto has not been commonly reported or tested for in Manitoba, cases are regularly reported in neighbouring provinces, including Saskatchewan and Ontario. Changing environmental conditions may also increase the risk of exposure. Severe infections can lead to kidney or liver damage and can be life-threatening.

💉What does this mean for your dog?
We are now including Lepto protection as part of our canine vaccination protocols. This vaccine requires an initial dose followed by a booster, typically 2–4 weeks later, to build proper immunity. Annual boosters are then recommended to maintain protection.

We would like you to meet Katie! She will be coming up for adoption through !

Katie is a 3 year old Maltese mix and weighs about 10lbs.

She is pretty new to the rescue so they are still waiting for her to show them her personality, so far she has been very sweet but a little nervous. The rescue is confident that that with a little love, care and patience she is going to thrive.
