As a Certified Double-Coated/Deshed Technician, helping dogs and cats shed that packed-in undercoat is one of my favourite parts of grooming! 😍

There’s something SO satisfying about watching a tight undercoat loosen, seeing the fur separate and release, and revealing a soft, fluffy, flowing coat underneath! ✨ And that HUGE pile of fur left on my grooming table? The best part! 😂🙌

🐾🖤 Happy National Black Dog Day from Austria Grooming! 🖤🐾

I’ve had the pleasure of grooming so many beautiful black pups over the years, and they truly hold a special place in my heart.

As a matter of fact, one of my very first grooming pups was a little black-and-white Schnoodle named Reese. ❤️ Reese was one of the pups who helped kick-start my passion for grooming and played a special part in the journey that brought me here today.

From those first grooming experiences to all the amazing dogs I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years, I’m so grateful for every pup who has trusted me with their care. 🐶✂️

I can’t wait to meet even more beautiful black pups who come through the salon and add their own special paw prints to my grooming journey! 🖤🐾

💜 HELP SAVE PRINCESS POPPY 💜
Poppy isn’t just a dog to me — she is family. 🐾💜 She means so much to me and to my shop pups, Axel, Coyote & Wh***ey. She has always held such a special place in our hearts.

Sweet girl Poppy, aka Princess Poppy Purple Lightening Strike, is only 2½ years old and has been diagnosed with Stage 5 IVDD (intervertebral disc disease). She is currently paralyzed in her back end and needs spinal decompression surgery to have a chance at walking again.

I’m going to be doing mobile nail trims to help raise money for Poppy’s family. ❤️
100% of the money raised from these nail trims will be donated directly to her family to help with her veterinary costs.

🐱✨ BRUSH-OUTS AREN’T JUST ABOUT LOOKING GOOD — THEY’RE ABOUT COAT HEALTH! ✨🐱🐶
Did you know that regular brush-outs between grooming appointments can help prevent matted and impacted coats?
Whether you have a dog or cat, dead hair can build up underneath the healthy coat. Without regular brushing, that loose hair can become tightly packed and eventually form mats. 😬
🪮 Why regular brush-outs are important: 🐾 Remove loose, dead hair
🐾 Reduce shedding around your home
🐾 Help prevent tangles and mats
🐾 Prevent the coat from becoming impacted
🐾 Allow air to reach the skin
🐾 Make it easier to spot changes in the skin, lumps, bumps or parasites
🐾 Keep your pet’s coat healthier and more comfortable
⚠️ Important: Mats aren’t simply “knots in the fur.” As they become tighter, they can pull on the skin, trap moisture and debris, restrict airflow, and cause significant discomfort. Severe matting may even require shaving rather than brushing out.
