We're looking for donations of old newspapers to help care for our patients! Newspaper is used daily throughout the hospital to keep animals comfortable and clean during their stay.

If you have newspapers you'd like to donate, they can be dropped off at the clinic during regular business hours.

𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙!

As we continue undergoing renovations to improve our space and better serve you and your pets, we wanted to share a quick update on what to expect during this period:

🚐 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Due to construction impacting our regular reception area, a, trailer is set up in our parking lot to assist clients

🐾 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – Now drop-off style: please call when you arrive, we will bring your pet inside, and you’re welcome to wait in your car or head home

🛍️ 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 & 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗨𝗽𝘀 – Available at the reception trailer

⏳ 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 – Some orders may take longer than usual to arrive

🦉 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽-𝗢𝗳𝗳𝘀 – Animals for Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre can temporarily be brought to Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Centre

At PVH, our reception team is at the heart of everything we do. From managing phones and appointments to supporting clients and our medical team, they handle it all with compassion, patience, and skill. They’re often the first friendly voice you hear and play such an important role in every visit!

We also want to thank the receptionists at the other clinics we connect with each day – your teamwork and support make a difference across our entire veterinary community.

If your pet requires urgent care, the Winnipeg Animal Emergency Hospital remains open and available to assist you.

Her duties of Front Desk Supervisor include the following:
• Greets clients… on her terms
• Ensures all surfaces meet strict nap-ability standards
• Conducts thorough treat quality control inspections
• Accepts head scritches as payment (no Apple Pay, sorry!)

March is 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 – a great time to check your home for items that could be dangerous to your pets 🤢

Common household foods and products can be toxic to dogs and cats. Even small amounts can cause serious illness, so it’s important to keep these items stored safely out of reach.

If you think your pet may have ingested something harmful, contact us right away! You can also call the Pet Poison Helpline: 📞 𝟴𝟬𝟬-𝟮𝟭𝟯-𝟲𝟲𝟴𝟬.

A little prevention goes a long way in keeping our furry family members safe 🩵

Because of ongoing construction and very limited space inside, we’re unable to process pet food sales today — our apologies!

Peanut first came into our care when she was at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, we were able to step in, give her a second chance, and transfer her to Head to Tail Pet Rehabilitation for continued rehabilitation and care.

Now, this sweet girl is ready for the next chapter of her story – a loving home of her own! PLEASE SHARE THIS POST TO HELP PEANUT! 🐾

Next Monday, February 16th is a holiday, so please place all pet food and medication orders ASAP.

Keeping your pet on their regular routine is important for their health and comfort. Even short disruptions can cause unnecessary stress! 🐾

We expect a busy weekend with emergency cases, and ordering ahead is something we truly appreciate — it helps our team prioritize pets who need urgent care.
