Rescue Siamese A not-for-profit, no-kill animal rescue for Siamese crossed cats in Manitoba. Rescue Siamese is a "no kill" rescue. Friday: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Rescue is a non-profit, feline rescue that operates as a shelter with a strong foster program component, whereby animals are taken into foster homes, vetted and assessed for temperament and later put up for adoption at our shelter. Siamese crossed cats are accepted directly from owners, as strays or as transfers from another shelter or organization. Rescue Siamese is set up to give preference to the Siamese and Oriental breeds, and will also take in the domestic partners of "bonded" pairs. Oriental breeds may include Oriental Short Hair, Himalayan, Exotic Short Hair, Snowshoe, Birman, Balinese -most cats that have blue eyes and colour points. Hours of Operation:

Monday: 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Tues and Wed: closed
Thursday: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Join us for Adoption Events, Bake Sales and Supply Drives all weekend long at Pet Valu Meadowood, Pet Valu Taylor and Pet Valu Sage Creek and help us raise lots of funds to support rescue animals in our community!

All month long, Pet Valu stores across Canada will be working hard to raise money and collect supplies for animal rescues in their local communities. Pet Valu shows a huge amount of support for animal rescues all year long by hosting adoption events that help adoptable pets find their forever families, collecting donations of food and other supplies that are desperately needed, and more!

We are so grateful to be chosen once again by our long-time friends at Pet Valu Sage Creek, Pet Valu Taylor and Pet Valu Meadowood to participate and receive half of all funds/supplies collected at each store throughout Thanks For Giving month! These stores are working on weekly goals and creative initiatives to make the most of October and collect as much food, litter and money as possible for the 2 rescues they are each supporting.

Make sure to stop into each of these stores to buy some food and litter donations for the bin, and you might even meet your new furry best friend too!

Ellis and his siblings came into our care over the summer after being found outdoors with their young mama, Sicily. Still barely more than a kitten herself, Sicily was caring for her growing family. Our patient volunteers worked hard to safely trap the whole family and bring them into care, giving these little ones the chance to grow up safe, loved, and surrounded by the care they deserve.

As the biggest kitten in the litter, Ellis may have a little extra size, but this sweet boy is all about love! He's friendly, affectionate, and always happy to spend time with his people. Whether he's looking for cuddles, enjoying some attention, or simply hanging out nearby, Ellis has a wonderful, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around.

But don't let that cuddly side fool you — Ellis is still a kitten with plenty of energy! He loves to play, explore, and keep himself entertained. He's a curious little guy who likes to investigate his surroundings, especially when he discovers something he thinks might be fun. Cords and plastic seem particularly interesting to him, so his new family will need to make sure these tempting items are safely out of reach. Kitten-proofing is a must!

Ellis also has a goofy side that keeps things entertaining. He's known for rolling around in the litter, apparently deciding that the litter box can double as a play area! He's a silly, fun-loving boy who brings plenty of laughter along with all that affection.

Despite being the biggest of the bunch, Ellis isn't a dominant kitten. He's a sweet, friendly boy who enjoys playing and spending time with others without needing to be the boss. He has a lovely mix of playful energy and cuddly companionship, making him a wonderful little guy to have around.

Ellis has met children and did well with calm, cat-savvy kids who understand how to be gentle with kittens. He's also good with other cats, so he may be a good fit for a home with feline friends. He hasn't met dogs yet, so we don't know how he would do with canine companions.

Ellis is looking for a loving family who will give him plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and burn off that kitten energy, while also making time for cuddles and affection. His family should be ready for all the fun, curiosity, and occasional silliness that come with raising a growing kitten!

Bali and her siblings came into our care over the summer after being found outdoors with their young mama, Sicily. Bali was the last of the kittens to be caught by our patient volunteers, and as the smallest of the litter, this little girl has certainly come a long way! Sicily was barely more than a kitten herself while caring for her growing family, and now Bali has the chance to grow up safe, loved, and surrounded by the care she deserves.
Don't let her tiny size fool you — Bali is a spunky little sweetheart with plenty of personality! She's cute, playful, and full of kitten energy, always ready to explore her surroundings and join in the fun. She's a little bundle of mischief and charm who knows how to make herself noticed, even when she's the smallest one in the room.
But Bali has a very cuddly side, too! This little girl knows exactly how to get the affection she's looking for. Give her some back scratches, and she may just decide that you've earned yourself a cuddle session. Before you know it, she'll be flopping over for more love! She enjoys lap time and is happy to snuggle up with her people once she's had her fill of playtime.

Baffin and his siblings came into our care over the summer after being found outdoors with their young mama, Sicily. Still barely more than a kitten herself, Sicily was caring for her growing family. Our patient volunteers worked hard to safely trap the whole family and bring them into care, giving these little ones the chance to grow up safe and loved.

One of the two boys in the litter, Baffin is a friendly, calm little sweetheart who absolutely loves being close to his people. And when we say close, we mean right in your face! Whether he's leaning in for attention, looking for affection, or simply keeping you company, Baffin loves being part of the action.

As much as he loves attention, Baffin also has an independent side. He's perfectly happy to find a cozy spot in the cat tree and enjoy a good nap when he needs some downtime. He's a lovely balance of affectionate companion and laid-back little guy who can entertain himself, too!

Of course, Baffin is still a kitten, so he'll need opportunities to play, explore, and enjoy all the fun that comes with growing up. But when the excitement settles, he's more than happy to get close, soak up some love, or curl up for a well-deserved snooze.

Baffin has met children and did well with calm, cat-savvy kids who understand how to be gentle with kittens. He's also good with other cats, making him a potential fit for a home with feline friends. He hasn't met dogs yet, so we don't know how he would do with canine companions.

There are many ways that you can help Rescue Siamese raise money to support cats in need! One way you can help is by baking some homemade treats for us to sell at our events, which more often than not include a bake sale fundraiser.

We have lots of fun events coming up, and we will need lots of baking donations to make sure our tables are stocked up with goodies 😻

Currently we have lots of beautiful cupcakes in the freezer (thank you Gisele!!) and we would love to add some donations of other treats like cookies, squares, snack mixes, breads/loaves, scones, tarts, etc so that we have a nice variety of yummy things to offer at our bake sales.

You’ll find us selling baking at Pet Valu Taylor, Pet Valu Meadowood and Pet Valu Sage Creek this coming weekend at their adoption events as part of Thanks-for-Giving Month, at 50 Alpine Ave on Saturday November 7th from 10am-4pm for their Winter Market, and of course at our ‘Purr-fectly Paw-some’ Holiday Market at Archwood Community Centre on Sunday November 22nd!

You can drop off baking donations to our cat shelter at 38 Barberry Road anytime during open hours, or send us a message and we’ll arrange to pick up from you. Java and her siblings came into our care over the summer after being found outdoors with their young mama, Sicily. Still barely more than a kitten herself, Sicily was caring for her growing family. Our patient volunteers worked hard to safely trap the whole family and bring them into care, with Java being one of the last kittens to be caught. This little girl certainly kept everyone on their toes!

Java has been the spicy one of the litter, and she's needed a little extra time to learn to trust people. But look at her go! She's making wonderful progress in foster care and is slowly discovering that affection can be a pretty lovely thing. She now allows pets and is beginning to come to her people for attention. Every little step forward is worth celebrating, and we're so proud of how far she's come!

Java will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and that every kitten moves at their own pace. She may not be the kind of girl who immediately runs up to greet visitors or demands cuddles on the first day, but with patience, consistency, and a gentle approach, she has the opportunity to continue blossoming into a more confident companion. Watching a shy kitten learn to trust you is incredibly rewarding, and Java is already showing us what she's capable of.

A quieter home would be best for Java, with people who can give her the time and space she needs to settle in without too much commotion. She has met children and did well with calm, cat-savvy kids who understand how to be gentle and let her approach on her own terms. She's good with other cats, too, so a friendly feline companion may be a good fit. She hasn't met dogs yet, so we don't know how she would do with canine companions.

Java is still a young kitten with so much potential ahead of her. Beneath that spicy exterior is a little girl who is learning to let her guard down, accept affection, and seek out attention on her own terms. She just needs someone willing to see past her initial hesitation and give her the chance she deserves.

Are you the patient, understanding person who can help Java continue to blossom? Her journey to trust is still unfolding, and the love she shares with the person who earns it will make every step along the way worthwhile.

Molokai and her siblings had a rough start to life, spending their early days outdoors with their young mama, Sicily. Their family came into Rescue Siamese's care over the summer after our patient volunteers worked to safely trap them and get them somewhere safe. Sicily was barely more than a kitten herself while caring for her little ones, and now Molokai is getting the chance to grow up surrounded by the care and comfort she deserves.

Molokai is a people-loving girl who enjoys attention and isn't shy about letting you know when she'd like some! She's the chatty one of the family, so don't be surprised if she strikes up a conversation with you. Whether she's telling you about her day, asking for some affection, or simply making sure you haven't forgotten about her, Molokai has plenty to say!

And when it comes to getting attention, this girl has a pretty adorable way of asking. Molokai loves to roll right onto her back, inviting you to give her some tummy rubs. It's hard to resist a kitten who flops over and looks at you as if to say, "Well, aren't you going to rub my belly?"

Of course, she's still a kitten, so there's plenty of playfulness mixed in with all that affection. Molokai enjoys having fun, exploring her surroundings, and spending time with her people. She's a lovely combination of playful kitten energy and cuddly companionship!
