This is so scary!

Just a reminder to get your dogs (and cats) vaccinated, and to keep the vaccinations up to date.

Rabies is fatal for dogs.

If you check out the comments, someone mentions that in another case, a horse was tested positive for rabies.

In testing an animal for rabies, the animal will lose their life, as the brain is sent off for testing.

Horrific, but preventable. Follow your veterinarian’s advice, and have your pets vaccinated on schedule.

Hi- this happened a few days ago, at a very popular state park here in Maryland. People bring their dogs there all the time. Still think rabies vaccines aren’t necessary?

Sadly, it’s wildfire season again.

Please keep your animals safe from the smoke.

With wildfire smoke creating poor air quality across the U.S, the AVMA is reminding the public that wildfire smoke can pose serious health risks not only to people, but to pets and livestock as well.

Smoke from wildfires contains fine particles that can cause respiratory issues in animals, especially those with pre-existing heart or lung disease.
