Just a reminder that it is mating time for coyotes, in case you have been seeing or hearing extra activity. Coyotes are usually nocturnal, but they do occasionally show themselves during the day. Just because you see one or hear one does not mean you should call the police.
Do not call 911.
However, there are certain behaviors that are cause for alarm by Coyotes and they are:
•1 - Coyotes dropping anvils from hot air balloons
•2 - Coyotes in possession of a giant magnet
•3 - Coyotes in possession of “TNT”
•4 - Coyotes carrying product marked “ACME”
•5 - Coyotes posting signs such as “detour” or “free bird seed”
•6 - Coyotes in possession of a catapult
•7 - Coyotes on roller skates with rockets attached

Winnipeg Animal Services staff were at the park this morning, so here is a reminder that the fine for an unlicensed dog is $250. 👀 To be properly licensed, a dog must wear its City of Winnipeg license tag. 👀

If you wish to change the pet owner or animal information, please call 311 / 1-877-311-4974 or visit Animal Services at 1057 Logan Ave. Pet licenses expired more than 3 years will need to be renewed at Animal Services or by mail.

We lost our dog’s frisbee at the dog park yesterday and I was wondering if there’s any possibility of making a post to see if someone’s found it? It’s her favourite toy so I’m hoping someone has come across it.

To help us recycle your tree into clean wood mulch, please:
• Remove all decorations, lights, and tinsel
• Take off the tree stand at home
• Do not leave bags, twine, or plastic
• Only leave your real tree

Since 1991, We've recycled over 430,000 trees through this program.

Free wood mulch will be available in early January while quantities last. Please bring your own container and shovel.
