Craig Street Cats Craig Street Cats, Inc. is a non-profit organization working with Winnipeg’s community cats. We no longer operate a shelter or adoption program.

Effective June 1st, 2025, CSC has returned to its original program of managing community cats on Winnipeg’s streets. Our Colony Manager Program trains concerned citizens how to work with cats in their communities, follow best practices for cat population management, and comply with City of Winnipeg bylaws. Saturday morning kitten capers, featuring Parsley, Rosemary, and Thyme. Sage is off in another room, methodically destroying a stuffed mouse. These kittens have been with us since they were about 2 1/2 weeks old. Next week they will have their big day at the vet, and soon after will be ready for adoption.

Muffin is about 3 days old, and came into our care when a dog found her all alone between 2 houses. Her mother was nowhere to be found. Kittens this young are very fragile, and need dedicated, specialized care. Fortunately, our amazing bottle baby mamas have saved hundreds of kittens just like Muffin over the years. Of course, no one can guarantee that a neonatal kitten will survive without its mother, but we will do our very best to give her a happy outcome. Just 6 weeks old, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme are learning about their world. In a couple of weeks they’ll be terrorizing their whole foster home, but the couch is enough for them right now.
