We know life can be hard and there are struggles we come across every day with our pets. Whether it's walking a reactive dog, teaching a new puppy or kitten, or adjusting to a newly adopted pet, these struggles can turn into celebrations when we unlock a new achievement! We want to hear from you about something new you and your pet have achieved. Did they walk by a scary thing they haven't walked by before, have you worked on a new trick, or even a new bonding experience??? We want to hear it all!! We are finally seeing some nice weather in between all that spring rain (although I heard that may change this weekend 😑). From bird and squirrel patrol, to hitting the trails, we're definitely taking advantage of these higher temps. Even my indoor cats want some time in their outdoor pen for some fresh air! Do you have a pet that's been itching to be outside more, now that we're hitting double digits??? Share a pic of your pet chilling in the yard or of a new spot you may have checked out, we love to see them all 😍

And don't forget, make sure your pet is up to date on their parasite prevention medication and vaccines, as more outdoor time means more exposure risk.

We focus a lot on our canine friends this time of year, but our feline friends are just as important! You know your cat best—but here’s the tricky part: even though they seem fine (and most of the time they are), something could be happening on the inside that we can’t see.

Luckily, preventive screenings “speak louder than our cats” and are one of the best ways we can detect disease or infections that can be life-threatening or cause permanent damage.

Think of it as a way to confirm everything is all right. It’s a small step that brings a lot of peace of mind. 💛

Although that "time of year" is all year round now, we definitely see more of these unwanted tag-alongs as the weather starts to warm 🌞 If you don't already have your pet on flea and tick medication, what are you waiting for?😉 Fleas and ticks can be picked up in any environment, including the backyard! Although ticks thrive in parks/weedy environments, they can fall off other animals/people and end up in your yard, awaiting a tasty meal. Like all medication, one preventative may be better for your pet than another, so it is best to speak with your pet's vet to select the best one. It is also important to note that some dog preventatives are toxic to cats, so make sure not to use those products on or around them.
