We know some of you may have seen our announcement about the retail side of Scales & Tails winding down and may be wondering:

“What about feeder insects and live and frozen feeders?”

We want to reassure you that we will continue to carry live feeder insects and frozen feeder and pre-orders will continue.

This means our local reptile community can still count on us for the feeders your animals need.

While the retail side of the business is winding down, we want to continue supporting the reptile community we've become so proud to be a part of.

Scales & Tails is changing, but we're still here for our reptile community.

There's no need to stock up or worry about finding a new feeder source. We'll continue to announce upcoming pre-order dates so you'll know when the next order is available.

After nearly three years of serving the Yukon fish, reptile and pet community, we've made the difficult decision to begin winding down the retail side of Scales & Tails Pet Supplies.

This wasn't an easy decision, and we're incredibly grateful for all of the support we've received along the way. In a short time, we've had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and become part of such a great local fish and reptile community.

While we're winding down our retail inventory, we aren't completely going away.
We will continue to offer live feeder insect pre-orders and frozen feeders so our local reptile community can still count on us for the feeders you need.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be clearing out our remaining retail inventory. Once it's gone, it won't be restocked, so keep an eye out for upcoming clearance deals.
We'll also be offering some of our business equipment for sale as we wind things down.

A Quick Note About Rewards Points
Today, August 28, will be the last day to earn Rewards Points.
Any points you've already earned can be used until September 30, 2026. After that date, the Rewards Points program will be discontinued and any remaining points will expire.

We'll share more information about the clearance, equipment for sale and upcoming feeder insect pre-orders soon.

We have a beautiful selection of healthy, premium bettas in stock right now, including Fantails, Halfmoons, HMPKs and a variety of Wild Types. 🌿

We take a lot of pride in how we care for our bettas while they’re here with us. They’re kept in heated, planted tanks with gentle filtration.

For their forever home, we recommend a 5+ gallon aquarium with a heater and slow-flow filtration so they have room to swim, explore and settle in comfortably.
