Did you know dogs can donate blood?

Rosebud donated a full unit of blood yesterday when hosted a donor clinic at 😁♥️

Rosebud may not sit still for her photo, but she's a good girl while she's donating blood.

Rosebud is DEA negative which means she's a universal donor. This blood type is less common among dog breeds but more common in her breed!

DEA negative donors can donate to any dog in need♥️

Each unit collected is made in to various types of blood products which is used to save multiple lives.

Just like in humans, the need for blood is great and the donors are in short supply.

If your dog is healthy, over 55lbs and over 1 year of age you can contact to see if they're eligible to donate. It only takes 30 minutes of your time once every 3 months. The donation of blood part takes less than 10 minutes 😯
Rosebud says there's so many cookies involved that she's always happy to come and see the team.
