A pretty things, busy times, and PSA post. It has been quite a summer. Record rains turned our entire acreage into a marshland for two months. Ponies had to be moved, new pens made, but even with that, it created a level of day to day strain we had not experienced here in our entire 35 years. Two of Patty's family members passed within two weeks of each other, and that unfortunately had a bit of a negative effect on her - putting her unable to work for almost a month. I have been working on carts over this time, but it sure has not gone fast - and Patty needed my help and time, as she cannot make the sawbucks for the pack saddles, and was basically homebound for that month of downtime. Amazingly though, she has managed to do a lot over the summer, and she has now been almost back to full time work - something she is deeply grateful to report! And she has always managed to find moments to spend with her Tonk. He has, as he has always been, a pretty stable source of comfort for her, as he was for her mom, and her oldest sister before she passed. Where this has put things now, is that she has had to put a hold on taking deposits for skijoring harnesses until mid to late December, as the work she has on the line now, will take almost till then to complete. She is always hoping to go faster though!! I have carts I am working on as well, and still more pack saddle sawbucks to do before she is all caught up on those, and I am likely to do a few winter fun sets as well. Another pretty difficult part of our world, has been the ongoing situation of trade with the US. Navigating it all has been trying to say the least. We are SO very grateful to ALL of the fabulous US customers we have had over all our years - we are pretty sure we would not have been nearly as successful without you all! We have no arrogant position on the facts - and the facts are, that the USA IS a huge part of our success, and with that, we will do our level best to work with our clients to get them our products. So I end off this post with sharing some of the "pretty things" that we have created over the summer, and a note that the little silver cart is still available. Again, we both thank you ALL for your patience with us, your kindness, and continued support.
