We got international mail! 🌍💌

This update comes all the way from Denmark!

Sweet Willow was adopted from us a year ago and has been living her very best life ever since. She shares her home with her big sister, Roxy, who was also adopted from our centre 10 years ago.

We recently received a summer update on what these two girls have been getting up to:

"It has been a while since we shared an update about Willow’s adventures, so we wanted to send a quick hello from her and her big sister, Roxy, along with a few pictures 😊.

Roxy will be celebrating her 12th birthday this September and has been slowing down a little, but she’s still in great shape and continues her role as the household 'sheriff,' keeping a watchful eye on Willow whenever she’s thinking about doing something naughty 😉.

Both ladies have enjoyed many weeks with us at our cottage on Fanø during the first half of this year. They absolutely love being on the island, especially because they share a deep love for bunnies, of which there are many! Of course, they’re not allowed to chase them, but they certainly enjoy tracking scents and watching some of the brave rabbits that venture close to our house.

We also spent some vacation time in Germany, which means Willow, just like Roxy, has already become a well-travelled lady.

In her spare time, when we’re back in Copenhagen, Willow loves attending the doggy kindergarten we found for her. She absolutely LOVES other dogs and gets plenty of opportunities to play, run, and burn off some energy.

I’ve also recently started jogging with Willow. She seems to be a natural runner, which is something Roxy has always raised her eyebrows at 😅.

Both Roxy and Willow are sending lots of doggy love your way, and we are sending our warmest wishes and another huge thank you. Without you, these two special ladies would not be in our lives, and that's something we cannot even begin to imagine ❤️."

Thank you for choosing adoption and for sharing this heartwarming update with us. Sending lots of love back to Willow and Roxy from all of us! 🐾❤️

Thank you to every adopter, foster, volunteer, and supporter who helps make these happy endings possible! 💛

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

Due to the volume of people predicted to be in Ambleside Park tomorrow for the music festival, we will be closed for public viewing and will reserve adoption meets for serious inquiries only.

With the noise levels expected to be incredibly high, paired with the volume of walk in traffic, we anticipate this to a be a very stressful day for the animals in our Centre.

We appreciate your understanding- we will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 1st.

Congratulations to sweet Farmer, who was adopted last week! 💛

Farmer came to us after a rough start in life and spent 50 days in our care while we worked through some health concerns. Like many French Bulldogs, Farmer needed BOAS surgery to help improve his breathing. He then spent some much-needed time recovering with one of our wonderful, dedicated fosters where he was very spoiled, of course.

Despite everything he had been through, Farmer was the sweetest, funniest little potato in the centre. We’ll miss his silly personality and antics, but we are absolutely thrilled that he has found such a loving home.

Thank you for choosing adoption and opening your home to such a cute little man! Farmer is lucky to have you! 🐾

We’re sharing this in the hope of finding the family of a senior male Domestic Medium Hair cat who was brought to the VCA clinic on Alberta Street in Vancouver on the evening of Friday, August 21.

He was found injured on East 15th Street in North Vancouver. Sadly, his injuries were very severe, and he was in critical distress. The veterinary team made the compassionate decision to humanely euthanize.

If you recognize this cat or think he may have been yours, please contact the VCA clinic at 604-879-3737
