Still riding the high from the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Canada Regional Specialty 2026! 🇨🇦🐾🏆
So incredibly proud of my girl, Riisestaff’s Lumos Sushi ❤️
There is something extra special about stepping into the specialty ring with a dog you bred, raised, trained and showed yourself and seeing all that work come together. Sushi is truly my girl from start to finish, and I couldn’t be prouder of how she showed and represented Riisestaff. 🥹
A special thank you to Krista, who bred Sushi’s wonderful dad, Doyle. There is certainly no denying the Doyle in Sushi — she carries so much of her dad, and I couldn’t be happier with what he contributed to her. I’m incredibly grateful to Krista for trusting me with the opportunity to use such a special boy in my breeding program.
And a HUGE shoutout to Krista and Terrina for all the time, work and effort they put into planning and organizing this Regional Specialty. Events like this don’t just happen — there are countless hours behind the scenes, and we are so lucky to have people willing to put in the work to make these weekends possible for our Stafford community. 👏
This one also took a little extra effort on my end — travelling from West Kelowna to Calgary with my three kids, ages 4, 6 and 8, to be there and support our specialty. And I have to brag about them too because they came on the long trip, the dog show days and everything that comes with travelling to a dog show with Mom and two Staffords.We made sure there was time for amusement parks as well as other fun 😂
Steevie, I also appreciate all you do with Merlot and the trips you let me drag you along on.
Days like this are exactly why we put so much time, work and heart into these dogs. To come together and celebrate our breed, and then have my own homebred girl make me so proud in the ring, made every bit of the trip and effort worth it.

What a fun weekend! Mila was so lucky to borrow Percy for her juniors this weekend from Monarda Kennels who breed the most solid Tollers (Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) . He was just 11 month but already a super star ⭐️ for the zone 12 finals she showed Merlot 💕
We showed Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and Sushi beat her dad twice and got BOB with one leading to a group #4 today🤩She also go one BOS and a select. I did have to up the rewards to chicken nuggets because Sushi thinks it’s a bit boring this whole show thing and way rather go sniffing for things like ckc scent, Cwags , happy ratter or barnhunt…. But the chicken nuggets was a winner 😂 Oslo got to walk around the ring and wiggle her tail non stop twice 😂 I wasn’t planning of showing Sushi anymore this year but I might not be able to stop myself after this weekend 😂
